Rookie running back C.J. Spiller scored twice to lead Buffalo.

After scoring on a 1-yard run, the first-round draft pick put the Bills (2-1) ahead for good, 21-14, with a 20-yard touchdown run in the final minute of the first half. Spiller now has three touchdowns in two starts in place of injured veterans Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch.

The Bengals (2-2) could take consolation out of quarterback Carson Palmer's performance. He engineered a pair of touchdown drives in the three series he played. Palmer opened with a 9-yard touchdown pass to rookie tight end Jermaine Gresham, and then hit Chad Ochocinco for a 6-yard touchdown reception.

CJ Spiller is electrifying thus far (emphasis on "thus far").

Trent Edwards showed shades of his early 2008 form in the 1st half
13/17 for 153yds and 1 TD, 0 INT 123 rating.

Here's hoping Fitzpatrick takes care of business in 2nd Half

On the downside, Cincy RBs are easily getting to the 2nd level. Conversion to 3-4 will be very difficult once season starts. Also, zero pass rush from Bills D.

Great showing by the Bengals offense tonight. Very encouraging.

I really like Spiller and think he'll be ROY. That said, the Bengals first string D shut him down, holding him to 7 carries for 13 yards.

With all due respect, Bengals had a number of starters playing in the 2nd quarter when Spiller did damage.

Say a prayer for Brandon Ghee. Stretcher on the field. Brutal helmet-to-helmet hit Ghee on Bills RB Chad Simpson.

yes a number. To be honest, I counted as many as 7 backups in by then. For that matter, 2 starters didn't even dress and they started a 3rd string SS who may not even make the team.

Not trying to be an ass about it, but your 2nd and 3rd touchdowns were your starters against our backups.

thankfully it looks like it was just a concussion.
