View Full Version : A game is almost never decided only by a bad penalty call at the end of a game.

This time, they did it twice in the same set of downs. Yeah, the game management of Morrone and Hackett was irritating, but I will only speak of the illegal contact call against Aaron Williams on a third down incompletion in the red zone, wherein he didn't come within six feet of an Atlanta player, and the third and goal pass interference call against Nickell Robey for being pushed to the ground. Bullsh*t calls, both, especially in a game where real contact had been allowed for 58 minutes. Bullsh*t calls.

If Atlanta can score on them, fine. It looks bad when you give them clear assistance.

The calls were complete crap - especially that killer PI call which was alleged to have occurred right in front of where I was sitting.

This ****ty team needs no outside help from Refs when it comes to losing games, but today the zebras - one of whom is remarkably bowlegged - did all they could to make the Falcons a 3-9 team.

The fumbles shoildnt have mattered. Really, the penalties shoildn't jave mattered. The offense failed so utterly in the second and early third qarters that it had to come down to the end, and a team like the Bills doesn't often get the benefit of iffy officiating, on top of engendering confidence in their opponents judt by being them (and confidence matters.)

But I am trying to not be overly uixotic about the coaching situation beyond rolling my eyes when it is suggested that equalling the records of this same squad in the last two years is a sign of excellence in Morrone. Exhibit 346: end of first half, Atlanta calls timeout on third down at thirty seconds left. Run a six second play that fails to convert. W hat do we do? Let them continue to run the clock before calling timeout with four seconds left. Morrone is chickenhearted; he aspires to Martyball heights of game control.

But seriously, did anyone else see the Toronto Christmas Scrotum?

Hey at least the mayor showed up to the game {with his crack pipe in tow}, rocking a Jackson Jersey in support of the {home team}

There's a tradition in Toronto whereby seniors from Jarvis Collegiate travel to the Christmas scrotum where they use Swiffers with telescopic handles to gently clean the underside of the crystalline sac in hopes that the city will have a purple christmas.
