Team facility changes underway at PBS

Two million dollars have been invested to improve team facilities at PBS, including locker room expansion and a new weight room.

In an agreement made between the Cincinnati Bengals and Hamilton County on April 17 of this year, both parties were able to resolve several issues that they had been working on for quite a while. The most newsworthy aspect of the agreement was the prospective (and later completed) addition of General Electric to The Banks on the riverfront. But also, it was announced that the Bengals would be contributing $6 million toward improvements for Paul Brown Stadium.

Among those improvements is a near $2 million investment to improve team facilities at PBS, including locker room expansion and a new weight room.

Bob Bedinghaus, Bengals director of business development and a former Hamilton County Commissioner, was at the forefront of the negotiations for the Bengals.

“We started talking about the possibility of a new weight room about five or six months ago,” said Bedinghaus. “It was really all tied up with whether we could work with the county to get access to the space. We had gone back and forth several times, and as we moved along on the design at some stages it looked pretty hopeful that we would be able to work with the county, and at other stages it looked like there was no way we would ever be able to come to a deal. It all came together with the GE addition and it all got wrapped up into one agreement. It works for the county, it works for us, and it’s all come together pretty nicely.”

The entire project of renovating team facilities has been broken into three phases, with the first phase currently underway. Phase one is the expansion of the locker room, which will be completed by the time they players report for training camp. Needless to say, things are going to look a little bit different when they return.

“There’s a snowball effect of changes that we’re doing in the team space,” said Bedinghaus. “The first project is an upgrade to the locker room, where we’re adding 30 or so new lockers. We are bumping through the wall into the player lounge and adding additional lockers.

“Since we’ve moved training camp back here, we have the need for additional locker space. Also with the players that are on injured reserve and the players that are on the practice squad, we were already bumping some people out of the main locker room, so it’s just more convenient to have everybody in the same locker room and everybody part of the team..”

The second phase of the project is for a new weight room and training facility. The current weight room has been the same since the opening of PBS in 2000. There is also a smaller aerobic room across the hall from the weight room. The new weight room, to be built in a space currently unused, will be nearly double in size.

“I believe it’s a 4500 to 5000 square foot weight room now,” Bedinghaus said. “We will be relocating it on the other side of the team space on field level to a space that’s a little bit larger than 8000 square feet. The design is evolving to the point where we will have the weight room and the current gymnasium as one big room. There are a lot of walls that will be coming down, which will obviously give us more room for (strength and conditioning coaches) Chip Morton and Jeff Friday for their training.”

Because the location of the new weight room is away from current team space, construction will begin and will be ongoing throughout the upcoming season. The transformation of the gymnasium to training facility will begin after the season. The gym also doubles as a cafeteria with an adjacent food service area. In order to combine the new weight room with the new training facility, several walls will have to be knocked down.

“The area that is currently the gymnasium and doubles as our cafeteria will end up with a new surface flooring that will allow trainers to actually do some conditioning inside,” said Bedinghaus. “It’s going to be a softer version of the gym floor. It’s very conducive to running as opposed to the hard floor now. That project will probably wrap up after the season is over. We can do a lot of work on the primary weight room area because we won’t need to knock down many walls during the season. After the season over we’ll knock down the walls and get working to make it one big training facility.”

One activity players enjoy is shooting hoops in the gymnasium. They often engage in friendly, but quite spirited three-point shooting contests. Despite all of the upcoming changes, Bedinghaus assures there will still be a basketball hoop for the players.

“The one thing that we are going to make sure we maintain is the basketball court,” said Bedinghaus. “When you’re down there during OTAs you can notice guys really enjoying shooting hoops. It appears to be a very important bonding activity. We’ve even gone to the point to make sure you can bounce the basketball on the floor we’re going to have.”

Bedinghaus said that the new floor surface for the training facility will likely have markings for coaches if the space is needed for a walkthrough for days of inclement weather. Also, markings are planned to be there for the purposes of the strength and conditioning coaches and the trainers to aid in their usages.

The final phase of the project will not begin until next offseason. It will involve the movement of the studio of JungleVision Producer Scott Simpson. Simpson has a studio on field level which is used for various interviews throughout the season, as well as the weekly television show, Bengals Weekly with Marvin Lewis. The current studio location is in an area which will be overtaken by the new weight room and training facility.

Simpson’s studio will be moved to where the aerobic area is right now, the food service area and cafeteria will move to the old weight room, and the players lounge will be in the old food service area, adjacent to the training facility.

Summing it all up, Bedinghaus says:

“If you think about it, from the locker room to the meeting rooms to the player lounge to the training facility and weight room, it’s all right there together and it makes perfect sense.”

I got the impression that the new heaters will go on top of them? Just my assumption.

Does this makeover mean that there will be free water and Gatorade for players to take home? If yes, maybe JJoe will come back.

What if the stadium could be identified with the team.....what if the seats weren't green and instead reflected the team that plays at PBS? What if the stadium looked like this?

I like the logo on the seats, but I think I'd keep the seats green. I think that was a smart choice. Gives it more of a "jungle" feel, and is more of a neutral color.

Wi-Fi added to Paul Brown Stadium, scoreboard comes next season

Football is back in the Queen City, and with it some changes to Paul Brown Stadium.

If you've ever been in the stadium and wanted to post a picture or tweet about the game, soon it will be easier as Wi-Fi will rolls out this season.

The conversation now is how much will it cost, who will be paying for it, and why add it?

Because of a lease between Hamilton County and the Bengals, the county will pay for most of the Wi-Fi project. But an amendment passed in April 2014 has the Bengals pitching in more than originally agreed upon to help lessen the cost for the county.

Here's how it breaks down:

The installation of Wi-Fi will cost just more than $3.5 million.

The Bengals will pay the full amount upfront as agreed upon in the amendment.

Hamilton County will be responsible for no more than $3 million.
It will start paying the Bengals back in the 2015 season and has five years to pay.

The Bengals will pay any amount incurred over $3 million.

Any updates this season will mostly be hidden, but cosmetic changes will be coming in the 2015 season.

A new scoreboard will be installed, costing $10 million.

The Bengals will pay $2.5 million dollars on that project and will start paying in $500,000
increments this year.

New furniture will also be coming to the club level lounges. There was a lot of discussion about this because very few people benefit from it but the Bengals ave agreed to foot the $1 million bill.

One last upgrade will be an expanded weight room on the field level of Paul Brown Stadium.
Under the lease, this would not have been the county's responsibility, so the Bengals will be paying for 100 percent of these costs. It's expected to be a $2 million project.

The Wi-Fi will be huge! When 65,000 people are all actively or passively eating the data bandwidth of the cell towers around the stadium, my phone might as well be turned off.

New Bengals season ushers in new stadium upgrades

CINCINNATI —As the Bengals take the field Thursday night to play their last preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts, fans will notice some upgrades that have been added to Paul Brown Stadium.

The Bengals have rolled out the Who Dey Bar, which is along the east sideline as well as free Wi-Fi Internet to keep fans connected throughout the game.

“Coming to a Bengals game needs to be an energetic experience where people have a great time. We understand that being able to share your experiences on your social media platforms is a big part and being able to access your fantasy football stats is a big part, so having Wi-Fi connectivity is critical,” Cincinnati Bengals director of sales Jeff Berding said.

Bengals officials said even if you don’t plan on using the Internet your smart phone will work better in the stadium because of the new Wi-Fi.

There will be Wi-Fi coaches wearing special T-shirts during the games helping fans set up their connection, according to Bengals officials.

Cincinnati Bengals (http://www.bizjournals.com/profiles/company/us/oh/cincinnati/cincinnati_bengals/2237287) fans will have access to a new cutting-edge bar with gigantic TVs when they go to games at Paul Brown Stadium this year.
It’s geared toward giving fans the ability to watch every NFL (http://www.bizjournals.com/profiles/company/us/dc/washington/nfl_players_association/3250998) game in progress at once while enjoying a beverage during a Bengals game. The bar features a whopping 90-inch TV screen, as well as two groups of four TVs, each measuring 60 inches.
“Our mission is to make it very exciting to attend a game, as well as working to make the in-person experience unique,” Bob Bedinghaus (http://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/search/results?q=Bob%20Bedinghaus), Bengals director of business development, told me.
The Bengals have teamed up with concession provider Aramark (http://www.bizjournals.com/profiles/company/us/tx/houston/aramark/3285211) to create the bar under the stands on the east side of the stadium at the sideline level. It’ll serve beer, wine and mixed drinks. It also features a bunch of standup tables that allow fans to set down food and drinks while enjoying the action from the Bengals and up to eight other games at one time.
The change addresses an issue the Bengals and the rest of the NFL are facing: how to get fans in the stadium when the experience of watching at home, with high-def TVs, beverages a couple steps away and NFL TV packages such as Red Zone making it so convenient to watch the action from your living room.
“That’s exactly what this is,” Bedinghaus said. “We’re fighting what’s been almost too successful, our TV product.”
Fans love fantasy football, and following all of the games is a key part of that. The Bengals work with Aramark every year to improve the fan experience, Bedinghaus said, and this is one more way to do that.
Look for the Bengals to take those concepts of TVs, more alcohol drinks beyond beer and tables that can serve as gathering spots to several concession stands around Paul Brown Stadium before the 2015 season.

“Before we go ahead and drop a couple million dollars, let’s test it this year and see if it’ll actually work,” he said. The Bengals and Aramark paid for the bar, Bedinghaus said. He didn’t say how much that cost other than it’s in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, noting it doesn’t involve public money from the county.

But other improvements do. The Bengals added WiFi throughout the stadium this year, something many teams are doing to help fans stay in touch with what’s going on around the NFL. That cost about $3.5 million, Bedinghaus said. The Bengals paid for it upfront, but the county will reimburse $3 million over five years starting next year. The Bengals will pay the other $500,000.

The Bengals agreed in April with the county to divide the cost of a new scoreboard. The lease calls for the county to pick up the entire cost, but the Bengals agreed to pay 25 percent of the $10 million bill, meaning they’ll pay $2.5 million over five years.

“That’s a project that everybody recognizes is the county’s responsibility,” Bedinghaus said. “But we recognize where the county is with respect to finances.”

Finally, the Bengals have improved the party deck in the south end zone. That space, sponsored by MillerCoors, now has bleachers and TVs, as well as artwork on the windows surrounding it that lead to administrative offices.
The Bengals open their home season Sept. 14 against the Atlanta Falcons (http://www.bizjournals.com/profiles/company/us/ga/flowery_branch/atlanta_falcons_football_club_llc/1174208).

Cincinnati Bengals fans will get an upgrade to their game day experience this season at Paul Brown Stadium -- access to FREE Wi-Fi.BENGALS ENHANCE FAN EXPERIENCE

Cincinnati Bengals fans will get an upgrade to their game day experience this season at Paul Brown Stadium -- access to FREE Wi-Fi. Through a partnership with Extreme Networks, along with Wi-Fi solutions and technology provider PCM, a high-density state-of-the-art Wi-Fi system will provide fans the opportunity to access social networks and share their experience with friends and family.

Work has been ongoing at PBS throughout the offseason and preseason, and full system access will be available for the regular-season home opener, on Sun., Sept. 14 at 1 p.m. vs. Atlanta. Tickets are available by calling 1-866-621-TDTD (8383).

“Our fans are of the utmost importance to our organization, and as technology continues to provide new possibilities, it was crucial that we identify a way to provide fans a truly differentiated in-person game day experience,” said Michael Kayes, Bengals director of technology. “The partnership with Extreme Networks provides the foundation to do just that, affording fans the connectivity they’ve grown to expect. We’re also excited to be able to offer our fans the opportunity to get field-level action through NFL RedZone.”

The “FreeWiFiPaulBrownStadium” network can be accessed by fans in all areas of the stadium, including the seating bowl, concourse, and club levels.

“Connecting is as simple as enabling Wi-Fi from your device’s Settings menu and selecting the network,” Kayes said, “and fans requiring assistance in getting connected can speak with one of 12 ‘Wi-Fi Coaches’ who will be available at no charge. The ‘Coach Program’ is one of many methods we’ll be using to engage and educate fans on Wi-Fi usage. The coaches will be present at stadium entrances when gates open and will continue assisting fans until halftime.”

Fans will also have the option to tweet at the Bengals Wi-Fi management team during the game, to bring awareness to any Wi-Fi issues. Engaging fans through Twitter will allow for instant feedback and quick pinpointing of any assistance that can be provided.
Using a cell phone, fans can tweet their seat location and Wi-Fi feedback to @PCMwhodey and use the hashtag #pbswifi to notify a Wi-Fi Coach Captain.

“We know that Bengals fans are some of the most loyal and passionate fans in the National Football League, Kayes said. “We’re excited at the opportunity to find new and innovative ways to improve their in-stadium experience.”

Plus Blue and Bengals team up!
From Bengals
Bengals fans no longer have to worry about cell phones dying while attending games this season. The team and PlusBlue Solutions have partnered to ensure that any fan in Paul Brown Stadium will have access to a charging device if needed.

PlusBlue will be providing two different services, located in four easy-to-access stands throughout the stadium.
"Keeping fans connected and powered-up is an important part of the today's game day experience,” said Michael Bagby of PlusBlue. “Our service is very practical and does not detract from fans enjoying a great product on the field. They can now charge in their pocket or purse while also cheering loudly, helping create a distinct home-field advantage."

The first option is cutting-edge portable chargers that are available for rent using credit or debit cards. The second allows fans to use cash to leave phones at a charging valet, safeguarded by PlusBlue employees for as long as desired. Charging stations will be located on Sideline West, Sideline East, Canopy West section 313, and Canopy East section 343.

“With the addition of Wi-Fi throughout Paul Brown Stadium, we felt that providing an option for our fans to charge their mobile devices was important,” said Jeff Berding, Bengals director of sales and public affairs. “With PlusBlue’s experience throughout the region using this model with the Reds, Western & Southern Open, Riverbend and Ohio State, we are confident that their services will be a great addition for our fans in today’s mobile world.”

The portable chargers can charge any electronic device more quickly than a standard outlet. Bengals fans will never again miss any action due to being tethered to an outlet during the game. Fans also will have availability to check fantasy football or upload lasting memories to social media.

The Bengals today announce that they have partnered with JDL Warm Construction on a comprehensive, multi-million dollar plan to renovate and upgrade most of the players’ space at Paul Brown Stadium.FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE; FRIDAY, OCT. 17, 2014

The Bengals today announce that they have partnered with JDL Warm Construction on a comprehensive, multi-million dollar plan to renovate and upgrade most of the players’ space at Paul Brown Stadium.
“JDL Warm was selected from among the leading construction firms in Cincinnati because of our belief that they could provide our players and coaches with a first-class project,” said Katie Blackburn, Bengals Executive Vice President.

Designs call for several player areas to be rebuilt and expanded, including the team’s weight room, aerobics room, player lounge and food service facilities, as well as the team’s television studio. Additionally, the team’s current gymnasium will be opened up and transformed into a multi-use area, supporting both indoor conditioning and rehab work, as well as other athletic training activities. All of this supplements the recent locker room expansion, and all work is being funded by the Bengals.

The majority of the conversions will take place after the 2014 season, though preliminary work is beginning this week. The weight room and training facilities are expected to be finished by late spring, with the balance of the improvements concluding before the beginning of the team’s 2015 training camp. The overall project will encompass nearly 30,000 square feet of space.

“It’s exciting to see this work under way,” said Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis. “I thank our administration for clearing and approving all of the projects, and I thank JDL Warm for making sure the new spaces are expertly constructed so that our players continue to have a great work environment. On Sundays, you’re only as good as your preparation during the week, and with these enhancements, we’ll continue to have first-class facilities here at Paul Brown Stadium for many years to come.”

Based in Cincinnati, JDL Warm is a full-service construction and real estate development company which specializes in Design Build services for a wide range of clients across the nation, particularly in the Midwest and the South. This is JDL Warm’s first project at Paul Brown Stadium.

“JDL Warm is excited to partner with the Cincinnati Bengals on this unique and high profile project,” said Jacob Warm, CEO of JDL Warm. “As longtime fans, it is not often that you get to be involved with a project with your hometown team, so this is not just another job to us. We are looking forward to putting together the building blocks that will help coach Lewis and the team to better prepare for their games.”

PBS rehab heats up

Despite recent sub-zero temperatures, the biggest facelift in the 15 years of Paul Brown Stadium continues at a heated pace.

Despite recent sub-zero temperatures, the biggest facelift in the 15 years of Paul Brown Stadium continues at a heated pace.

The team’s multi-million dollar renovation of its locker room and weight room is on target for the players’ mid-April return for off-season workouts. Along with a weight room that is 60 percent larger, the Bengals are installing a small turf surface, a cafeteria, and a bigger players’ lounge.

The Bengals are also in the middle of a rehab in which the club is footing about another $1 million for the overhaul of furniture in both club lounges.

“It’s a sleek, modern look that we think is warm and inviting,” said Jeff Berding, the club’s director of sales and public affairs. “We’re adding couches and booths so it can be more conducive for people to come together. There will also be more modern TVs, and there’ll definitely be a Bengals flavor in the décor.”

The club is also teaming with Aramark to not only overhaul the concession stands, but construct new destination points similar to the bar installed on the east side a few years ago.

The club and Hamilton County worked out an agreement to pay for the new $10 million video boards and work has started on upgrading the control room. But the original 80 feet by 27 feet scoreboards have yet to be replaced with the new 130 feet by 36 feet structures, an operation that could start within days with demolition.

New staging for Bengals' Drive for Five

The stage is set for the Drive for Five.

When the Bengals arrive Monday at Paul Brown Stadium for the start of voluntary off-season workouts, they’ll be greeted with a state-of-the-art renovation in the team space facility as well as a streamlined schedule. Overlooking all of it will be computer screens reminding them that the goal is Super Bowl 50 in the bid to reach the postseason for the fifth straight year.

The buzz of the workers and movers is a mirror of what’s going on in the Bengals draft room, where on April 30-May 2 they’ll have nine selections that include four in the first three rounds and six in the first four. This past week they hosted players that didn’t make it to the NFL scouting combine so they could undergo physicals, as well as 24 local players for a workout and

physicals. The latter exercise is more for picking off players to round out the rookie minicamp set for the weekend of May 8-10.They also are allowed to host up to 30 prospects before the draft and one of them is Oklahoma wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, one of the red flags in the draft. ProFootballTalk.com reported he’s also visited the Vikings, Ravens, and 49ers.
Players have also been busy working out and with other commitments. The training exploits of defensive tackle Domata Peko (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/domata-peko/5a38a4b5-78a2-4c57-87c9-c03c2ce23719/) and linebackers Rey Maualuga (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/rey-maualuga/72e4f750-08d1-4fa5-abee-a5cfebe1389b/), Vincent Rey (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/vincent-rey/5550e7d6-cb13-4ae1-8ae2-bb01fe4a7378/), andJayson DiManche (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/jayson-dimanche/dc77f2a3-d0c4-4858-bd30-7d50b64cefbe/) at Ignition in Mason, Ohio have appeared regularly on Twitter, and quarterbacks Andy Dalton (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/andy-dalton/9378c4ed-938c-434c-929d-4d45fe252101/)and A.J. Dalton and his wife Jordan are featured Sunday morning on the CBS show “Game Changers,’ detailing their work in the community and it airs at 7:30 a.m. on Cincinnati’s Channel 12.
Also back in town is Pro Bowl WILL linebacker Vontaze Burfict (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/vontaze-burfict/941b89df-2666-4d9f-810e-9b889ba417eb/) as he rehabs from microfracture knee surgery.

Burfict and some players such as tight end Tyler Eifert (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/tyler-eifert/36fdf348-c00c-44bb-bc76-2833910b8553/) and right tackleAndre Smith (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/andre-smith/5796e85d-6992-4b91-9630-fde615747967/) will be rehabbing and aren’t expected to take the field when the practices start in late May.They’ll be moving around in what basically amounts to new digs in a project of more than $2 million that not only includes an expanded weight room, but a 50-yard turf field at the foot of the weight room, a new players’ lounge, and a new cafeteria and kitchen.
The centerpiece is the weight room, which is about 60 percent bigger than the original and is going to be stocked with mostly new equipment. The expansion allows more players to lift at the same time, meaning that there won’t be staggered times throughout the voluntary workouts, which are limited to four hours per day four times a week. So, everyone checks in at 8 a.m. and leaves at noon.
“That should make us more efficient all the way around by consolidating the schedule,’ says Chip Morton, the only head strength and conditioning coach head coach Marvin Lewis has had in his 13 seasons. “The people here have done a great job coming up with more space in what was already a great facility. There’ll be more time for meetings and teaching in all areas. It’s a double-edged sword.
“It’s not always the best thing to have more people. The strength of our department has always been coaching, teaching, and the one-on-one stuff. We have to work twice as hard

in our interaction with the players, recording information, tracking progress, the things we’ve done well. Yes, we have more athletes working at the same time, but the onus will be on us to coach harder.”Along with associate head strength and conditioning coach Jeff Friday, Morton also has a full-time assistant in charge of technology and tracking as well as three part-timers, putting five coaches in the weight room instead of four.
Morton has kept the effective machines and discarded the not so effective. Basically, if they like what a machine has done, they’ve ordered more of them. For instance, instead of one seated row machine, they’ll now have two, as well as more racks, platforms, and leg presses. If the Bengals like a model but it’s no longer available, they’ve kept it.
Morton has also taken a peek into the future by expanding the number of Keiser's Pneumatic machines, which have grown out of draft prospects training so extensively for the NFL scouting combine in the last five or so years.
“It’s air resistance and in our case it augments the iron on the bar,” Morton says. “It’s a way to add additional resistance while training at different velocities more safely and more effectively. its velocity training and some would say it’s a methodology that is going to be used more and more in the future.”
A prime example of how the Bengals can consolidate their training comes on the turf field. It is what Morton calls ‘creating more options.”
Because of weather restrictions and

the distance to the fields from the weight room, the Bengals couldn’t always incorporate some drills directly into the program.“Now you can get right off a squat exercise and go right into a sled push. We’ve increased the creativity,” Morton says. “We can use the field to run, warmup, and do mobility work, circuit training, sled work, sled drag, sled push. That can all become part of the workout.”
And the Bengals might see some familiar faces along the way.
“I like the fact we’ll all be in here together,’ said veteran cornerback Leon Hall (http://www.bengals.com/team/roster/leon-hall/0f379744-8ae4-4952-8f53-75c2f38f43ec/). “I think that will be good for everybody. It will be nice to see guys at some of the other positions. You can go or awhile without seeing an offensive or defensive lineman.”

Paul BrownStadium Improvements

More than $20 million of improvements to Paul Brown Stadium will be on display and enjoyed by fans at tomorrow night’s Bengals preseason opener against the New York Giants.
“We are excited to show off our many new elements,” said Bengals executive vice-president Katie Blackburn. “The Club strives not only to have an exciting team on the field but to make sure the in-stadium,game day fan experience is top-notch as well. We believe that fans attending tomorrow, and at our other home games, will come away impressed.”
The list of improvements includes:

New High Definition Video Boards and Sideline LED Boardshttp://www.bengals.com/assets/images/imported/CIN/photos/630x269-photos/2015/Stadium-Improvements/scoreboards-before-after.jpg

The most obvious improvement fans will notice will be the new HD video boards and sideline LED boards. The main video boards are more than twice the size of the previous boards, measuring 130-by-36 feet.
In addition to being much larger, the HD boards will appear brighter and sharper. They will feature new video production, supplied by Lightborne Communications, a local Cincinnati video production company. The LED boards now stretch the entire length of the sidelines and will allow for additional information, including fantasy stats and out of town scores.
“We were pleased to be able to partner with Hamilton County to enhance the video quality at PBS,” Katie Blackburn said. “We’re confident the improvement will be very well-received by our fans.”

Upgraded Concessionshttp://www.bengals.com/assets/images/imported/CIN/photos/630x269-photos/burgers-brews-art.jpg

The Bengals worked with Aramark Concessions to fund $2.5 million of upgrades to all concession stands, including enhanced food preparation and presentation. Every stand in the general seating area has been upgraded with a new façade and HiDef TV. And a new concept – “Burgers and Brews” – will bring cook-to-order service to every level in the stadium.
Additionally, the Bengals and Buffalo Wings and Rings are opening a new stand on the north plaza level (next to the Pro Shop), which will serve Buffalo Wings and Rings’ unique style of chicken wings and beverages.
Also new this year will be additional craft beers. The former Pigskin Pub, located on the west sideline level, has been remade into the “Queen City Tap Room,” serving both local and national craft beers. The Queen City Tap Room will also provide a new HiDef projector, showing the game while fans enjoying food and beverages.

Completed WiFI system
Last season, Paul Brown Stadium began introducing a stadium-wide WiFi system. That system is now completed, has been augmented in areas like the Canopy Level, and promises to be among the finest in the NFL.

New Club Lounge Furniture

Club Seat fans and Suite Holders will notice a new concept in community and lounge seating. Funded entirely by the Bengals, this $1 million improvement replaces the original lounge furniture with modern lounge-style seating. Six-person community tables, segmented couches, all new tables and chairs and new lighting with more HiDef TV’s will make the Club Lounges a great setting for enjoying pre-game and halftime with friends.

Weight Room – Training Facility –Team Dining

While not visible on game day, the team’s interior work space has undergone $3 million in improvements funded by the Bengals. Work is completed on an enlarged locker room, a new weight room twice as large as the prior facility. a new players lounge, a new cafeteria, and a new television studio. Head coach Marvin Lewis has pointed to the new facilities as a signal to players that despite the team’s four consecutive playoff appearances, a new level of performance is expected in 2015.
