Brett Favre had a superb practice with the high school kids in Mississippi hitting on 20 of 29 passes. Unfortunately, while leading his team into field goal range he was picked off by 16 year old Ray Don Williams ending the scrimmage. Brad Childress could not be reached for comment.

I think there is a 99.9% chance that Favre comes back. Maybe next year he won't end his season on a interception again.

Why do news networks insist on doing Favre Watch every single year? Everybody in the general public is sick of hearing about this guy and only wants to know about him once he puts his pads on in September. Everything leading up to that is a giant circle jerk. If the public is sick of hearing about it, and the news networks are trying to report things they think will interest the public, then why haven't we seen a drop-off in the amount of offseason Favre coverage? When will folks at ESPN and related news outlets realize they are the ONLY ONES who give a damn? I figured by now they'd have figured out that the only reason they think it's a story is because they want it to be a story.

According to Rahel Nichols Hattiesburg coach Nevil Barr had asked Favre to come out of the scrimmage, fearing he might reinjure a chronically aching taint, but Favre refused. After the practice Coach Barr was seen driving Favre home from the school.
