In the beginning there were web chats, contests and a group of ornery posters living happily under the umbrella of FPL.

But there was trouble rumbling in some places...

The boss gave the situation a lot of thought and he saw the problem!

The BMIC called Andy immediately. "Andy, get rid of that "L". It's obscene! Also, you're fired again."

Heartbroken, Andy - with the help of high technology and Loreena Bobitt - was forced to geld our familiar logo and replace it with the Brett Favre version. So long FPL logo, we will always remember you!

*I couldn't resist. Please don't send Al to kill me*

Next time, warn me before you send me on an emotional roller coaster like that. Put this one in the FP Tome.

Actually ....

FootballPros.com became available when the previous owner, USC's recruiting department, decided honesty is not always the best policy.

FootballPros.com became available when the previous owner, the Carolina Panthers, was forced to relinquish it due to truth in advertising laws.

I thought Cris wanted me to 'get the L out' of our name after I mis-heard his response to 'what should I do after mowing the lawn, Mr. Collinsworth?'

We were forced to remove 'live' from our name after the FCC discovered that Turk pre-taped all his upset specials in August.

We were forced to remove 'live' from our name after the Justice Department could not find any verifiable signs of life in several of our older contributors.

We were issued a cease and desist order by FootballProsLove.com founders Antonio Cromartie and Travis Henry.

Andy's stories do not have pictures. I can't read them.

He might get some interview opportunities thanks to the Rooney Rule. Good thing Andy made him black.

Travis Henry is just trying to cash in by taking you to court. He's got 13 mouths to feed.

After my award-winning review of the Lingerie Football League and the confusion that followed from using the L in the name as the word Lingerie and the web sites the owners of the site could be linked to, I woke up one morning with a drafty house due to a brick that had a picture of a knee taped on it that was thrown through my window. Needless to say, rumors that linked Cris Collinsworth and "Football Pros in Lingerie" did not not help my standing on this site. The message was received. I politely asked if I could still use the word Fipple. The answer was no.

Is the spirit of Bud Grant still alive in these forums because the L is broken in half (yes, a Jim Ross reference)

I had a sudden thought tonight. Could the missing "L" be linked to the missing "H" in C(h)ris? Perhaps a childhood trauma we haven't heard about?

Sup from New Albany, Ohio! (http://www.newalbanyohio.org/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/New_Albany,_Ohio) That's funny Clem. Also, its not Al you have to worry about coming after you. Lorrina Bobbitt could cut you too. :[
