I read earlier today that Outlaw is now going to be shown on Fridays. Don't know if they are doing for promos for the last few episodes they have in the can, or it's been rethought. I have a season pass set on my DVR, so I'm just assuming it'll be found if it is rebroadcast.

Funny thing - I read an article recently talking about social media sites like FP that will provide 'targeted audiences' to advertisers. Either I have severely misjudged the constituency of my fellow FP(L)ers, or Madison Ave. needs to work on their targeting. 90% of the ads i see on here hold zero intererst for me. Just looks like spam.

The ads are supposed to be contextual, in theory, meaning that they don't relate to the 'site demographics' but to what's in your browser history and what's on the page. For instance, while you were getting the Ruby ad, I got an ad for 'watching Pruitt's dog crap'. Trust me, you'd rather watch Ruby (what are you feeding that dog?).

Its a cute comedy. Some episodes better than others and it is in the 5th year or so, so the original writers had moved on, but we still watch it with fervor.

I currently have an ad for "will it snow on Christmas" from the weather channel at the top of the page. Talk about total waste of targeted advertising dollars!! I live in south Louisiana. It's snowed 3 times in the 7 years I've lived here, and only one had any accumulation. Its been over 70 lately, so I think its safe to say I need not click on the link to find out if were having a "white Christmas"!!!! :)

I haven't had any issues with any of the ads so far during my time here at FP...but I may have to draw the line at this.

That thing is creeping me out.

I wonder if the audience that enjoys bike races and Saw movies is all that large?

Naturally, he works for fabulous women. And not to steal poetry from Freeland, but I'd rather get punched in the face every hour for the rest of my life then to have to watch either!

We can agree on that. Thank God I DVR Top Chef every week. I fast forward through the commercials for all those kind of shows. Even seeing them really quickly, I want to get kicked in the jimmy. I can only imagine what it is like to actually view them.

I used to DVR Top Chef. It was like a contest - me against Bravo - to see if I could manage to not see a single second of a single ad for any other show on that network. Top Chef really should move to another network.

Anyone else getting the ad for Scarface during the movie character draft? Gotta love those contextual ads, but where were they during the hot girl draft?

All I ever get is the Shop NBC ad with that fruity guy. What are my contextual messages? http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys/smiley-gen013.gif (http://www.freesmileys.org/smileys.php)

I miss out on these ads because I have Ad Blocker software.
