Russell Erxleben (11th overall in '79 by the Saints) was the 2nd, and so far last, punter drafted in the first round.

But, Erxleben was also a place kicker. Can you imagine the fall out if a GM took a kicker with the 11th overall pick?

No wonder the Saints were so bad for so long.
