Same as the Last Draft but with added rule that all candidates must be born before 1970 in order to be eligible for the CD Classic but I'll re post them here for everyone.

1) Sign-up for Currently Hot Draft ast till Sat Night@11:59 PM on May/14/200 and we will start the draft sometime on Sunday, I will show master list on Sunday and order. Sign-up for Catherine Deneuve Classic last till 9:00 PM EST on May/23/2011. Clock start immediately as soon as post is up

2) Draft Order will be decided at random using Random.org List randomizer

3) Depending on number of people 4 rounds.. but honestly this will be decide by number of ppl who sign up.It is not a live draft but spread out over undetermined time frame as of yet. You have 24 Hours to make the you pick once you go on the clock.

4)They must qualify as a celebrity or media personality. No trying to get brownie points by using a significant other.

5) I think most of the contestant should qualify under "superficial" beauty heading..there are tons of people who
we could say are more beautiful on inside then out but i think that would be counter productive to something that started based off of Maxim Hot 100 List

6)Person you choose can be either male or female, no gender hating on here

7) Just like all other drafts, u have to take who you think is the hottest person available, not just the first person who came to your mind. Example Marissa Miller and Cameron Diaz are both there..I think most ppl would take Miller in this case over Diaz.

8) As of right now it is a 2 Drafts, A Currently Hot Draft & a Catherine Deneuve Classic Draft

9) For the Catherine Deneuve Classic, they had to be born before 1970 to be eligible.. So Marylin Monroe In, Marissa Miller Out

First round pick to me embodies classic beauty with adorableness. This is a slightly dated pick, but she's held up well. Gorgeous at 48!

Good point. My standard is that she must still look good now, but I will post pix of her in her glory days. Means a little more work, but I'm a purist.

That said, my rule would eliminate the above drafted Kathy Ireland, in that I saw some recent (horrific) photos of her when she let herself go. That's not cool! To each his own though ...

So wait, I'm confuzzled. Are we picking women who are still good looking now, or going by how good looking they were in their prime?

The alternate title for this would be a "Classic Hot." I would say that the only definitive standard you should apply in your draft selections is that in their Prime Years, said person it would have been a pick for you in the Current Hot draft if they were available during their high point.

Example is how I would definitely take 2001 Penélope Cruz over 2011 Megan Fox. The Born before 1970 age requirement was added caused in seemed in discussions, others wanted a cut off rate so we weren't recycling some of the same people from the last draft and after doing some quick research, that seemed like a good cut off point ( FYI Draft Help, just think 1990's movies&TV, and such if having troubles. Might be surprised how many of them come in under deadline, I know I was)

Now if you wish to apply personal standards like EYZ is doing and that they have to still look Hot now (if Alive) then so be it.. I know at least most people on my draft board fit this category but that is a personal choice like drafting for character is for certain NFL teams.

Darvon picks "The Logo"..... Catherine DeNeuve b. 1943

From Wikipedia "One of the world's great beauties, her image was used to represent Marianne, the national symbol of France."

In fairness, since this is named the Classic Draft, I would think we're all shooting for the same thing. The objectifying of beautiful older women. :)

That said, I have no problem picking a woman who has since passed, as long as I know she was still hot well into her 40's, 50's or beyond. If your particular standards include lack of nuttiness, talent, or just still breathing, I'm good with that too.

@Ripper: We finally agree on something, and will have to remember this when football talks resume. :p

Raises another interesting question - if we are drafting beautiful women over the age of 40, should we only choose women who contain body parts that are similarly aged? Don't get me wrong, Halle Berry is beautiful. It's just that parts of her are not even teenaged.

Actually, that would be hysterical. Nothing funnier than trying to watch a man squirm around when another man's attractiveness is center of attention. That's so Takei!

Please...the first person to hit on me in college was a guy. True story. Not proud of it. Changed my haircut quickly after that.

I promise, the second person to hit on me in college was female.

I'm glad your happy.. my draft board for first round is getting killed right now.. First the one and only H.B is taken ( seriously, only one sister taken the whole last draft but I guess it's a testament to Halle's look that she was a first rounder in this one) and now my possible back up in Monroe and Fawcett are taken early also. All well, that's why you go 5 deep on your board.

Also draft just wouldn't have felt right if this classic picture wasn't included.

Joe DiMaggio. John Fitzgerald Kennedy. Robert Francis Kennedy. Oh, and she was also included in the very first edition of a little known magazine called "Playboy". When asked what she had on during the photo shoot, she replied, "the radio."

I proudly present, THE all-time sex symbol, Ms. Marilyn Monroe.

Maybe it's because I was bored of hearing about Marilyn by the time I was 12 or so. To me, she's a remnant of the 50's like Doo Wop music... alright, but nothing you'd turn to as a first choice.

But this woman? Si, si, si!

Agree completely, she's overrated.

Overrated? Perhaps. But when comparing eras in sports, it's accepted now that we have to take into account the modern technoligical and medical advances (both legal and illegal). So why can't we include the same factors for this discussion? Today's woman has the advantage of plastic surgery, botox, lifts, dietary supplements, etc. Marilyn Monroe had none of those advantages, yet her images still bring the high heat to this day. I look at someone like Madonna in her prime, who was probably the modern woman most like Monroe in her sex appeal, and in her exploits (including rumored trists with many famous athletes, and even a president). Has Madonna ever reached Monroe's iconic status? I'd argue that the answer is no, and it's not even close.

I consider Marilyn Monroe to be like Gale Sayers or Sandy Koufax. Her prime didn't last as long as many of the others who will appear on this list. However, picture Monroe/Sayers/Koufax had they come along 50 years later, aided by more sophisticated workout regimenes, dietary supplements, surgical advances, etc.

Marilyn Monroe was the first mainstream figure to sell herself completely on sex appeal, something we take for granted in today's society. And for that reason, and the others I've listed, there is no person more deserving of being listed in this draft than Marilyn Monroe.

I think my anti-Monroe feeling is based on growing up at the tail end of the baby boom. Having another generations cultural icons forced upon me caused me to have a negative reaction to everything from Woodstock to Marilyn Monroe to Elvis to, well, you get the picture.

If she hadn't died young, I doubt she'd be the icon that she is.

Besides, I'm all about multiculturalism.

Hey there's no shame in Salma. She was under heavy consideration for the 10th pick, until she lost out when I reached the word "icon". And to play devil's advocate against myself, there were factors playing into Monroe's favor as well. During her time, she faced many of the segregation issues that were also being faced in sports. The female celebrities at that time were about as diverse as the 1947 Red Sox. Meaning that someone like Salma Hayak would have never even had the opportunity to obtain national appeal back in Marilyn Monroe's day.

But if I have the choice between Babe Ruth and Roberto Clemente, as much as I love Roberto, Babe still has to be the answer.

By getting La Loren in the second round, I believe that I have pulled off the steal of the draft.

A real woman, beautiful in her 20's: http://www.massmurdermedia.tv/images/sophia%20loren

In her 30's: http://mythess.files.wordpress.com/2009/12/sophia-loren.jpg

In her 40's: http://www.palzoo.net/file/pic/user/Sophia-Loren.jpg

And beyond: http://www.fabulousafter40.com/wp-content/uploads/2007/04/sophia-loren-240x300.jpg

Stunning beauty aside, apparently, she's also a great cook. Furthermore, she is such a sports fan that in 2007 she pledged to do a strip tease for the members of her beloved Napoli soccer team if they won promotion to the top level of Italian soccer. They did, but I don't know if she disrobed for them. After all, she was 72 at the time. Gorgeous enough to pose for the Pirelli calendar, but old enough to be a grandmother to most of the players.

Yes, I enjoyed researching this pick...
One more note - if Sophia Loren was available in the second round, I firmly believe that Sparta's premature pick of Sandra Bullock will go down as the "Tony Mandarich" pick of the draft.

Hey, often times with hot comes crazy. As far as I'm concerned, essentially of Hollywood involves people who aren't actually good people, so they simply hire publicity people to spin their lives into a positive light. Heck, I've heard second hand horror stories about Bill Cosby. So when it comes out that there are actually people more concerned about others than themselves, and are legitimately nice people, I take notice. In fact, Hollywood has become such a joke to me, the highest standard for respect are when I find out that a long time Hollywood star has actually stayed married to his wife, or her husband for decades, and that there were no infidelity issues. Those people have my undying respect. The best example that I can find, and I hope no one ruins this for me, is the Bridges family. Lloyd Bridges was married to his wife for 60 years before he died. And when I looked up infidelity, all that came up was a made-for-tv movie he made in 1969. And his son, Jeff Bridges, has been married to his wife since 1977. Good for them!

That said, much like any other fantasy draft, I'm not drafting for character, I'm drafting based on the merits of the current draft structure. And the current draft structure stated that the best available pick, once Cindy Crawford went off the board, was Jennifer Lopez.

Didn't realize a young pup like Kaba would jump on it, but I had a sneaking suspicion that Brinkley was on your board, Brauneyz. It was between she and J Lo when I picked, and if I hadn't gone with a more old-school pick in round 1, she very well may have won out. One of my absolute favorites growing up, and has aged very well.

Sorry for the wait guys. My uncle is closing up his office in lower Manhattan and I had to spend the last couple days helping him pack. That along with the insane amount of tourists/traffic made it a 14 hour ordeal today. My pick for Marisa Tomei came from the recent movie "The Wrestler". I watched it only because the strip club scenes were shot in my home town at a local bar. She was SMOKING in that movie and she was older too. Usually I'm not too into the cougars (TEAM JAILBAIT BABY!!!) but she wins my heart.

http://www.wallpaperhub.net/pictures/Marisa-Tomei/Marisa-Tomei-3.JPG

Excellent job picking up on Tomei. She was one of the ones I was hoping would somehow slide to round 3, but I didn't think it would happen.

Her first ever movie was an uncredited role in a "B" flick that was a USA Up All Night favorite back in the day (Any old-schoolers going to throw Ronda Sheer into the mix later on in this draft?). The movie was called "The Toxic Avenger". He's the world's only superhero that hails from New Jersey. GREAT trilogy of movies. I've got the box set, and it is also the inspiration behind my fantasy football team name.

I'm glad I picked up Tomei it looks like she wouldn't have lasted at all. My 3rd round pick still hasn't gone and I am very confident she'll be there. This draft is turning out great :D . That movie sounds freaking awesome too.

Since this is moving along so quickly, are we going to add another round or 2 to this thing? I have a feeling that 2 more rounds will separate the men from the boys, and at this rate, it may not be complete until the lockout is over anyway.

Jane Fonda was a solid selection, no doubt. She was a bit before my time, but I'm definitely familiar. I'm just hoping this draft is doing it's part in culturizing the extreme youth that are participating.

Your Bo Derek pick didn't surprise me at all, but there were a few that I thought you'd consider over Jane Fonda. If I'm reading your taste correctly, starting with round 2, the two you would have considered in your spot would have been either Sophia Loren or Christie Brinkley.

Both Loren and Brinkley were nabbed before I could get them. On my list, as was Natalie Wood, though I thought she'd fall to me later. This drafting stuff is hard!

Natalie Wood was my 4th rounder. West Side Story was all I needed.

When I picked in round 2, I actually threw out my final 3 names to 5 different people. I received 1 vote for Christie Brinkley, and 1 vote for J. Lo. 3 votes went to Catherine Zeta-Jones. My gamble was that she'd be the most likely to be available in round 3, so J. Lo won the coin flip. The gamble paid off!

I'm taking this thing way too seriously. Really CC? We're losing half the season?

I would like to be clear, so as to not offend Catherine Zeta-Jones. She was nearly my pick in round 2, and was my clear choice for round 3 if she got to me. Julia Louis-Dreyfuss, and Natalie Wood were excellent picks (as well as Phoebe Cates), but would not have been in consideration for me until CZ-J was off the board.

So adding rounds would change draft strategy? I disagree, let's add rounds to this draft, and let's post undrafted free agents in the current hot draft forum. I will say, however, that adding rounds after the 4th round begins would alter my strategy a bit, but who cares? It's a freaking hotness draft. And I'm enjoying the all-timers. If we haven't hit the point to where we're seriously considering Elenor Roosevelt, or Margaret Thatcher naked on a cold day, then we haven't gone long enough.

I'm driving down the highway the other day thinking of the mature and babe-a-licious, grabbing for pen and paper to cement my ideas before they fly out my addled brain. Serious, and scary, I could do this another 10 rounds. But then I'm gonna start posting pics of the hot XY's :)

In fact, until he left us fairly recently, this dude was top of my list for decades. The incomparable Paul Newman.

I'm surprised you haven't.. I'm not going to lie, I'm putting some serious thought into making my last pick of the 4th an XY just cause I think he's probably better then anyone else I could probably draft at this point.

I'm not sure how many takers you'd have for a Hot XY Draft, but I think it would be awesome. The discussion alone would be priceless.

If anyone changes this to an XY pick and takes Sean Connery before I get a chance, I will be very upset. Just sayin'. My five beers in impression of Sean Connery is one of the proudest things I have in my arsenal. That, and I look exactly like Justin Timberlake, I swear.

Good pick Reader. Polish said he had a crush on Toni Braxton when he was 15, my dad went to high school with Braxton when he was 15. True story. I believe that's now two Maryland girls that have been drafted in both drafts combined. We represent.

Taking Toni Braxton with my Pick..to quote one of her songs..I hope she one "Unbreak My Heart and Tell [s] Me you love me again"

Stay away from her - the girl is bad news. Just ask any Dallas Mavericks fan.

Excerpts from the transcript of the Team Kocsan presser, when the media asked if Jane Seymour was a reach, Team President Matt Holmstache had this to say:

'Look, we liked the player, so we took her. Any time you can add a Bond girl to your lineup, you're doing something right. She started out strong and has had a hell of a lot of staying power, and we're pretty sure you'll like her when you see her out there on the field.'

http://www.beertripper.com/OffTopic/2011/off-pics/cc/Jane_Seymour/Jane_Seymour_naked_and_wet.jpg

'As far as the character issues--we certainly didn't like that she was involved in that awful, Kay Jewelery advertising campaign about open hearts or some such bull****--we felt like she accounted for herself well in interviews. For instance, she stopped demanding that I call her "Kitty Kat" relatively early in the conversation, which we were concerned about, having seen the tape of Wedding Crashers.'

http://www.examiner.com/images/blog/wysiwyg/image/Jane_Seymour_2.jpg

'But, like I'd said, we'd seen the tape of Wedding Crashers, so we were confident this woman was still punching well above her weight.'

http://static.tvguide.com/mediabin/archive/cms/28F95EDA-DFD0-406B-B28E-F83E2A4FF584.jpg

'So we think she can make an immediate impact, which is good, because we missed the current hot draft, so we'll be building from scratch there with only camp invites and needed an impact player. Since, you know, Rita died of Alzheimer's Disease and Zsa Zsa was born when there was still an Austro-Hungarian Empire.'

I cannot argue with any of this logic. Zsa Zsa, that I can argue, but this? Not a chance. Well played, sir.

I would just like to say that I'm so happy that Cheryl Tiggs has not been chosen at this point. The woman who started the whole "models should be shaped like teenage boys" movement will forever have a special place in hell.

More like the "models should all get boob jobs" movement.

I never thought she was that bony... but your point is a good one.

If I may add some cultural relevance to this thread (to make it seem like more than just a bunch of guys ogling hot women), I think many women would be surprised that the vast majority of our choices are curvaceous. Straight men like "real women".

My theory is that since the tastemakers in the fashion industry are to a large extent Gay men, women are inundated with images of boyish, skinny teenagers and are told that this is the ideal they should be aiming for. It is at best, silly, and at worst one of the reasons for the huge amount of eating disorders amongst women.

I don't want to get all serious, or sound like I'm reciting the lyrics to a song by Pink, but Clem is dead on. Ask 100 straight men who is more desirable - a curvy woman like Salma Hayek or Jessica Simpson or someone like Kate Moss or the latest teen modelling sensation. I think the Curvy women would damn near sweep the vote.

Off the soap box.

Pru, I think most women know that guys prefer curves. However, even us voluptuous ones don't roll outta bed looking like Salma Hayek. I think you perhaps underestimate how much time, money and hard work goes into that look. :)

Well, hot is hot, honestly. I try not to overthink it. I don't really have a particular body-type, or hair color, or whatever, in mind when it comes to picking out attractive women. A lot of hot is about presentation, as brauneyz pointed out. As you can tell from my selections, I think boobs are cool, but I'm not one to scoff at a Keira Knightley type, either.

So my pick of the 4th round came down like this. It's the point of the draft to build the Hottest possible team that I would date/marry or build the Hottest possible team period. I tended the follow the last definition& there is no denying Pitt's electricity. Most woman want to be with him and Most Men want to be Him. Agree or Disagree with the pick if you want but like the Rooney's do with the Rooney Rule, I believed in my non-gender hating rule enough to actually invest a draft pick into it. There are tons of hot women left to be drafted but I honestly couldn't say that on a grand scale.

To Recap my Draft so far, I came away with:
1st) One of the hottest woman for Comic Geeks in the 90's and the one who was integral in bring the term cougar back to popular lexicon for the 00's
2nd) The Biggest SuperModel of the late 80's and all the 90's
3) Easily one of the top 5 in women of color during the 90's and honestly someone who I'm pleasantly surprised didn't go much higher.
4) Arguably the hottest male the last 25 years and if not #1 outright, definitely consensus top 5

All in all, that is a draft I can be proud of

Reader, while I heartily applaud your out-of-the-box thinking, I must disagree with the notion that every woman wants to be with Brad Pitt. He annoys the hell outta me. His "wife" does too. And I just sat through Inglorious Basterds and suffered that ridiculous accent for 2+ hours.

Here's hoping this kicks up the hilarity factor in the last round. Well done!

Yea, Brauneyz.. i wouldn't lie and say knowing your previous thoughts on Pitt previously made me hedge my words to include Most and not Every when I wrote my my piece defending my selection of Pitt but thanks for the applause...now just to wait to see how the non-female members of the board react to the pick lol

I'm just glad you did not pick Sean Connery. As I said before, my five beer impression of him makes him a must for my team. Plus, here's the plan. We get my team together and I use Sean to seduce the rest of the women I picked from my "current hot" team (plus, you know, I picked dead people in this one). Then, once the lights are off, I pull the switcheroo on ol' Sean there and then I have my next blog adventure. The PolishguyRodcast.

I dunno - by taking Brad Pitt when there are hundreds of beautiful celebrities still available kind of makes Reader M look like the Matt Millen of the draft.

In 1979, the Saints took kicker Russel Erxleiben with the 11th overall pick in the draft. Two choices later, the Chargers took Kellen Winslow. Now, I read the reasoning behind the pick, but like a Saints fan back in the early 80's, I am left scratching my head. The only way I can condone this pick is if Reader M watched "Inglorious Basterds" last night.

I don't know man, I think that pick is indefensible. That's not even Matt Millen. With Millen it's like "OK, I can see what he's trying to accomplish.". The Pitt pick is more like Isaiah Thomas, in that you're saying "WTF?!?!?!" I think we'll allow you a mulligan if you want.

BTW, you have Monica Bellucci down twice for me. The 4th round pick should be Sophie Marceau.

Since the topic has been broached, and since I'm bored, I thought I'd throw in a rambling, barely-coherent op-ed piece on the Brad Pitt selection.

I consider myself very open minded and secure in my masculinity (what little there is left). I would have absolutely no problem admitting it if I ever saw an attractive man, but I never have. No one ever has. I believe that if aliens came to this planet, knew nothing of gender, and were asked to rate all 7 billion people on attractiveness, there would be no men at all in the top 2 billion, possibly 3 billion.

I don't say this out of homophobia or the delusion that it makes me come across as 'macho', I say this as an artist. A beautiful woman is a work of art. A man is, at best, utilitarian. You could find women that are more attractive than every man on earth in your local grocery store, bank, mall and Walmart. Ok, not Walmart, there are some scary looking people in Walmart.

Just my opinion, you may now return to your draft. My favorite recent picks: Naomi Watts, Phoebe Cates, Sophie Marceau. Least favorite: Kelly Rippa, Lucy Liu.

Andy, I'm not sure what kind of hallucinogens you got there in Cincy, but they sure are potent.

I'm pretty sure I could (but I won't cuz it'd be rude) post pix of ten women (easily) that are less attractive than Brad Pitt, or Tom Brady, or Sean Connery, whatever. Beautiful people are works of art. Ugly is just ugly.

But I'm glad today was one of the days you decided to get out of bed and join the discussion, any discussion ... :p
