View Full Version : NFL Team Blogs

07-28-2010, 02:27 AM
I remember during the Simmons podcast (that's how I found FPL) that Cris and Bill raved about the information on local team blogs. So I'm attempting to put together a full list of NFL team blogs from local sportswriters.

The fan blogs are also good but I've found that the guys who are at team headquarters every day - the ink-stained beat writers - tend to be more objective. They also give much better information than the National media IMO. ESPN will give us "OMG Bryant refused to carry Williams' pads now hunger in the 3rd world will never end!!!" while the local beat writer points out "Newman looks awfully slow in coverage today".

So here we go. Please correct me if I've chosen a bad blog for your team.

Disclaimers: I have a bias towards beat writers so if I could find a blog from a local sportswriter that's what I used. I know these aren't traditional blogs but these guys are at team HQ every day.

When I couldn't find a beat writer I went with a fan site that posted daily and linked to good news.

I am positive that I missed some better blogs. If you have a better blog link for your team please post and I will update this list as fast as I can without my boss catching me.

Also, by the time I hit the Houston Texans I realized this was a stupid, stupid idea. My fingers hurt now.

Still good information. People, if they don't like what's there, will still use this as a starting point.

two bills drive is a great site. Highly recommended for those of us masochists who can't get enough Bills info.

Wow.. that was some nice work, major props on it msclemons.. For the Bucs I would recommand changing it to either of these two blogs:

Bucs Beat: It's the St. Petersburg Times Beat blog and the best blog for the mainstream beat boys on the Bucs http://www.tampabay.com/blogs/bucs/

JoeBucsFan: It's probably the most compressive Bucs blog on net, working kinda like PFT and summarizing ANY media going with Bucs with snarky comments but also has original programming and reporting that includes QB or D-line breakdowns from former Bucs players. Put it like this, is anything happens in regards to the Bucs and can be accessed for free or not behind a pay wall, it will show up here. http://www.joebucsfan.com/
