I understand your point. I did when I read it. I just fundamentally disagree. No biggie, I just do. And yeah, you are starting to sound a bit pushy. Just a bit.

I think 90 days is fine for now. I might look into an alternate path. 90 days and 100 posts or 45 days and 500. I know that seems extreme also, but we already have 3 users over 500 and 4 more over 450.
That means that I can't post my blog until October.
Not only I but most of the OG will also not be able to post blogs until long after the season begins. Did this site even exist 90 days before the season's start?

Not trying to be pushy, just want to post my blog for the whole season--I don't think I'm the only one here who would like to do so.

Sorry to double post. Realized after posting that replying would send you a message so you wouldn't have to remember to come back to the forum

I also just noticed that this blog still has our original name fb-pros.com. I'll leave it, good for trivia and/or nostalgia.

luckily all these posts I make complaining about the 100 post limit count toward the 100 post limit.
Still not sure 90 days falls before the start of the season. Which would be unfortunate for continuity of a 2010 blog of any kind.

    I got so many thoughts.

    90 days! Too long.

One of the reasons the 90 day thing is a good idea is that I already see several users who don;t show up anymore. Plus I see one that has been "regulated". The length if time is great because it weeds out the flash in the pan user who has no staying power. Just call it the ability to cut a bust with no penalty to the cap...

Why not just let the people launch their blogs? The season has almost started, so there will be a great deal to discuss. I believe the site was created because Cris wanted to tap into the intelligence of fans and their love of their teams. You could put a simple "Was this blog informative or helpful?" Poll on each blog that someone starts. Peer pressure would get the good blogs going or the bad ones into moving out. I'm not a fan of any particular team, I grew up in NFL's Siberia, but I watch every game I can and have different takes on what's going on for the teams I see. You could categorize blogs by team, division, and other. I would love to read a blog that breaks down LOS plays.

I write a blog for my fantasy football league every week. But I don't want to spam up forums here just to get to 100 posts, I would like to post my blog here as well. My first one will come out the week before the season starts; I don't think the site got off the ground in time for anyone to be here for 90 days AND post blogs before the season begins. Can that be adjusted at all so I don't have to fill up your forums with nonsense just to get to 100 posts?

Nice idea but I fear the result. Oh well, I don't HAVE to click on the Blogs link either.

I'm confident that Cris and Andy will work diligently to maintain the integrity of the site.

True that. I wonder how many people will take advantage of it?

I don't mind self promotion, as long as it's not at the "harrassment" level

PolishGuy I don't think it's so you can self-promote, it's so that you can create discussions with the other members.

I'm happy with the 90 day period. I look forward to reading posts of higher quality. I can already tell that this community is a refreshing alternative to the typical sort of message boards I find on the internet.
This will be a great opportunity. I'll be here in ninety to post my website/blog/podcast. Very cool to offer promotion for people and their stuff.
Please don't just come back in 90 to promote. Enjoy our awesome community in the meantime!
