Niiice. One of the most experienced guys out there.

So, when do I get my paycheck?

Excellent. Open thread seems the best way to go. That way the whole conversation stays in the forums instead of vanishing into chatterbox heaven.

Cosell is a tweeting fool so he'll prolly bring a few new peeps along with him.

He has some interesting thoughts for sure. He rates both Gilmore and Jenkins above Claiborne at CB. He has Kalil falling quite a ways down. This is going to be fantastic.

Got to respect a guy that evaluates players with his own eyes.......not what "sources" are telling them. No such thing as teams using smoke screens that Cosell would have to consider as he puts together his mock draft.

This is great news, and I'm hoping to free my schedule so that I can join in the discussion. We need more people on this site who agree that RGIII is the most superior QB in this draft class.

"Bigger, more physical, and more talented Matt Schaub." I'm assuming that Cosell intended that statement as a compliment, but as the #1 pick in the draft, and one of the sure bet prospects at the position over the 30 years, I'm interested in the specific name that he chose to compare Luck to. That doesn't seem to be the most inspiring QB name to be compared with.

For the record, I'm all in on Luck. But I'm aller inner on RGIII.

Mr. Cosell, I have a bone to pick with you. Mike Adams to the Lions? When Matt Stafford really got pressured last year - aside from the first game against the Viqueens - most of that pressure came from up the middle (watch the Lions playoff game against the Saints - Dom Raiola got ABUSED by the Saints defensive front).

My guys need an interior lineman.

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

      Plus, it's Mike Adams.

Greg is like one of those Belichick trained GMs. He learned the game the by working harder than everybody else. Pretty impressive where he is now. Draft day will be huge starting with Greg at 3 PM on Thursday.

Oh my, can I invite some of the Alex Smith diehard fans? They hate Cosell with a passion. More than Tebowners hate Elway.

btw - I'm guessing this is 3 PM EST?

Alexcuses has die hard fans? What? Is Baalke paying homeless guys five bucks and box of tacos to spend a few minutes on a message board or twitter to love old Alex up a little? Gotta be it.

It is one of the painful realities of 49ers blogs. There are people who believe Alex Smith would be as good as Montana or Young if he had Jerry Rice to throw to. We call them Smithers. These folks freaked the F out when the 49ers were in the Manning hunt.

Greg Cosell comes on KNBR radio in San Francisco every Thursday during the season to dissect the 49ers and he's been less than complimentary about Alexcuses. It causes the Smithers to foam at the mouth and amuses me to no end.
