• Broncos' Brock Osweiler Taking Second Team Reps

The Denver Broncos made the biggest of all the offseason splashes when they lured quarterback Peyton Manning to the Mile High City. Then, in April's NFL Draft, they selected Arizona State QB Brock Osweiler with the 57th overall pick. Add former Bears backup Caleb Hanie and the only QB on the roster who is a holdover from 2011 is Adam Weber.

During OTAs and mini-camp, Osweiler was parked at #4 on the depth chart. Now, in training camp, he is getting his shot to work as the #2 QB.

From Mike Klis of the Denver Post's First and Orange Blog: Osweiler is getting his turn, for the first time since the Broncos drafted him in the second round.

“We haven’t talked specifics as far as where I’m at,” Osweiler said. “I imagine the coaches are trying to push me, challenge me as far as the playbook and what I can handle. I’m trying to take it all in every day, study at night and be productive and just get guys lined up right, do the motions right and basically be productive and move the football.’’
The 6'7" 242 pound Osweiler is considered a project and will likely end up as the Broncos #3 signal caller.

I like this arrangement because if for some reason, which I'd still hate to see despite not being a Broncos fan but a Raiders fan, Peyton Manning can't go, then you've got to start over at the position. They've had veterans infesting the position in recent years with the exception of Tebow and I think going rookie is the best way.
