• Santonio Holmes Having a Camp to Forget

Santonio Holmes has been in the background just a bit during Jets camp so far, but he still has been one of the side acts in a smaller performance ring. While the Jets quarterback situation has taken over the big ring at the circus so much that even the President of the United States has weighed in on the situation, don't think that Holmes has not tried his best to garner some of the headlines.

First, the mercurial Jets receiver out of Ohio State was told to basically keep his mouth shut by Rex Ryan. Ryan, of course, had no problem with publicly zinging Holmes by saying that he was not paid to be the offensive coordinator of the Jets.

Then, Santonio missed time for 3-4 practices because of undisclosed reasons.

After being told to be quiet, a defiant Holmes complained to the media that he was a scapegoat last season.. A a day or two after that, Holmes was seen on the camp sidelines in a conversation with Keyshawn Johnson, former author of a book called "Just Give Me the Damn Ball!"

Last night, Johns...uh, Holmes left the scrimmage with a rib injury. It was first reported that the injury may be a broken rib, but x-rays were negative.

While Tim Tebow is supposed to the play-maker whenever he is in the game, Holmes is supposed to be that guy for the Jets on every other offensive play that the receiver is on the field. I'm not saying the talented receiver is completely lost, but since the Steelers decided they had to break up with him, Holmes may want to realize that he is being told to be quiet by two of the biggest mouths of the last 15 years.

I have a feeling that this year will be pivotal for Santonio. The Jets will have some concerns in the offseason in 2013 if they don't succeed or they could look to happily have veterans return. It will be very fascinating to see how the 2012 season will go & how the Santonio Show will go; LOL!

Rock on rocking on, Santonio. You're good at playing football, bad at being an adult. I think it wears thin, and can only hope that it helps dissolve the fabric of the Jets' season, a la Sparta's speedo.

I'm agreeing whole heartedly with wax here. {Call the folks from the guiness book}.

A chargers fan should NOT be making a "no rings" crack. Your gm AND coach are continually referred to as the "lords of NO rings" , add to that no rings for the franchise, and its poor form.

the passing game is a major issue for the Jets this year. Holmes doesn't seem to have his head in the game, Stephen Hill needs development, and there's not much else there other than Kerley. Dustin Keller is a solid TE but has been underachieving.

And neither Tebow or Sanchez are talented enough to make average WR corps look good.

The Pittsburgh Steelers parted with Santonio Holmes for a reason. He is a gifted football player, but a royal pain in the ass in so many other ways. The Steelers felt he was more trouble than he was worth and moved on. The Steelers keep winning....the Jets keep trying to manage their 3 ring circus.

Well the Spurs shot 50% from three in games three and five, and the Heat didn't really seem to have problems answering in those games. Go to last post

Since I want the Spurs to win, I hope they light it up from outside. It seems to me the Heat don't have an answer when it rains 3s. Go to last post

It would be one thing to leave early if it was a regular season game. Laker fans do that all the time, but part of it is to beat the traffic. But this is the NBA finals. You really want to... Go to last post

Hey, who let in Dan LeBetard?

I have absolutely no idea what to expect in Game 7 other than these things:

-A home Game 7 loss would break-up the Heat. Undeservedly, but it would.

    -Timmay... Go to last post
