Is there any news to report on Terrell Owens? The longer this drags out, is there any shot of the Bengals bringing him in at a cheaper price?

      Thanks,

I don't have any inside info, but my guess is it's really up to Owens. If he decides to come back for a severely reduced salary ($1-2 million), the Bengals would probably be one of the front-runners. But Owens is probably going to wait it out and try to get at least $3-5 million, even if that means waiting for a training camp/early season injury.

There is a small chance that, if Owens significantly drops his price, the Bengals could sign him and cut Chad Ochocinco. I don't expect this to happen, but it wouldn't totally shock me.

The Bengals really struggled at WR last year after the loss of T.J. Houshmandzadeh, and made a concerted effort to re-build the position. The WR corps is deep, particularly with young talent (Shipley, Caldwell, Cosby, Briscoe) Signing T.O. would mean cutting one of those young guys, so if they do sign him, it will definitely be on their terms.

Don't rule out Seattle. They have had an interest in Brandon Marshall and Vincent Jackson. I am really surprised nobody has signed Owens. He can wait for a key injury, but at his age completely missing training camp and surviving a full season only happens if you are a QB and wear #4.

There have been various reports in the last few days that Roger Goodell has promised money from the league to help get a new stadium built in Minnesota. Why is it that when the Chargers have asked for money from the league they have been told repeatedly that there is no more money in the G3 fund and Minnesota, who only recently lost the roof of their stadium, is promised money almost instantaneously from the league? It's bad enough that the Chargers get dumped on by the media but when the league's commissioner does it too, it's almost too much to bear.

I really don't know. Is the league trying to move the team to LA? I really haven't kept up with all of that.
