• Meet the New Receiver, Same as the Old One

We all know that Braylon Edwards and the New York Jets did not part on the most amicable of terms. We also know that Bryalon Edwards is prone to both saying and doing stupid things, for lack of a more blunt term. The combination of these two facts, one would assume, led to Edwards tweeting this on December 4:

Well, guess who's coming to dinner?

That's right, Braylon Edwards is returning to the New York Jets after being claimed off of waivers; following his release from the Seattle Seahawks this past Monday. Edwards started the first game for Seattle this season against the Arizona Cardinals, but only managed to get on the field for more than twenty snaps on offense in one other game following that, ironically enough against the Jets in Week 10.

The Jets were willing to let bygones be bygones due to the increasingly bleak options they have currently on the team. Santonio Holmes, their #1 receiver going into 2012, was lost for the season in Week 4 with a Lisfranc foot injury. Second-round pick from this past April, Stephen Hill, recently suffered a sprained LCL and will be out for the next couple weeks at least. A former fourth-round pick of the Miami Dolphins, Clyde Gates, was showing some potential before being sidelined indefinitely with a concussion. That left Jeremy Kerley and Chaz Schilens as the only healthy receivers on the team who have seen any meaningful playing time this year. Well, unless you ask Antonio Cromartie of course.

So despite the Jets still somehow being mathematically alive for the Playoffs, you have to assume that Braylon Edwards is none too happy about reuniting with the same "idiots" who he believes have caused such a massive black hole of dysfunction, right?

With three games left, there is still time for him to lead the league in drops again.

Braylon Edwards, to his credit, made good on a promise of providing scholarship money to Cleveland public school students for college even after his career turned very, very sour with the Browns. That said, he's still kind of an idiot.

I don't dislike running QB's, I just like QB's to actually be able to be good passers. Being able to run is nice, but QB's live and die by what they do in the pocket. Go to last post

I think this is the key here. The Patriots OL looks to be a mess right now. Maybe they will figure it out this year, but this would concern me if I was a Patriots Fan. Go to last post

He's a pedestrian passer because he has no running game and no receivers to throw to. Give Andy Dalton the Panthers and watch how pedestrian he becomes.

Daltons has been good, but you put him on Carolina and I think we are singing a different tune the last few years. I question if Dalton would have been all that much better than Jimmy Clausen there. Go to last post
