• With Season Over, Jets Stop Talking

Things are usually loud in Jets camp. The loud media, talk, head coach and players seem to fit in The City That Never Sleeps. Now that the season is over in a most disappointing fashion, the Jets aren't talking at all.

Of course, Rex Ryan nor other management personnel remaining have spoken to the media since the end of the season on Sunday. Ryan has left town. The team is going to talk when it gets around to it. That date seems to be next Tuesday and would be a violation of league policy.

Maybe the Jets are even tired about hearing about the Jets. Maybe it is tough to sit in front of a podium and be honest about the team or the coach. Apparently, the coach is staying, and so is Mark Sanchez. Sanchez regressed in every conceivable way during the 2012 season; surely drawing excitement when his name is brought up with any general manager candidate.

The ironic thing is that the Jets seemed to play best when their coach was loudest. Now, Rex Ryan is talking less and the team is winning less. Maybe he is just scared about the unveiling of the Tebow Wildcat package. Maybe the Jets still wish it was training camp time.

It's a little creepy the way the media are stalking Rex Ryan while he takes a break.
