Where are the Blogs?

Rate this Entry
Our pros will be writing articles instead of blogs, since blogs and articles are really the same thing. The blog section will be for users. Once you have reached 'advanced user' status (registered for 90 days and have at least 100 posts), you will be able to post your own blogs here at FB-Pros.com.

Just curious...as for the advanced user status...does that mean 100 new article posts or 100 replies?

90 days is a long time--is there anyway that restriction could be expedited? That means that those of us who registered in the past week wouldn't be able to make a blog until late September--well into the season. Wouldn't 30 days of active use [at least one post on 30 different calendar days] or something along those lines make more sense?

I would have to agree with Chilly. That takes many of us who are pretty much at the beginning from contributing till the first third of the season is done. As one who runs a site, I understand why, but in this case, it seems to be a bit long

How do you become a 'senior member'. I see a couple of those on the different boards. Is that different from an 'advanced' member?

I'm with Chilly on this too, 90 days, that means we got a long way to go and we got a short time to get there.

Senior member means I RUN THIS!!! haha naw, I think Member is after 30 posts, and Senior Member is after 100 posts. Andy's still trying to come up with different titles and levels, etc etc...but for now I think that's all that's in place.

I agree, 90 days is a long time, but everyone can post articles until then if it doesn't get reduced. I know the timing is bad as far as when the season starts, so we will see what happens.

Wow, 90 days does seem like a long time ( especially since I signed up today). I'm not trying to make waves but that seems a little harsh. Any wiggle room on that rule?

This will be a great opportunity. I'll be here in ninety to post my website/blog/podcast. Very cool to offer promotion for people and their stuff.

Ok, advanced member is different from senior member; is above member; which is not as embarrassing as junior member (especially because of the double entendre).

Please just tell me what I have to do to get freakin' T-shirt! Oh yeah, and mikeusetobe.......quit makin' waves, newguy!

T-shirts with Collinsworth's long wavy hair is a must! hahahahaha

So basically I gotta spam the board to get my own blog? Sweet.

Gotta start writing some more posts...

Thats why there is the 90 day rule as well. If he removes that we will have a bunch of people spamming posts to be able to blog and we have had a good group of non spamming/trolling forumers so far.

90 days is legit, it will definitely weed out trolls, I just wish I had found out about this earlier, I have to wait until October!!

Please don't just come back in 90 to promote. Enjoy our awesome community in the meantime!

I'm happy with the 90 day period. I look forward to reading posts of higher quality. I can already tell that this community is a refreshing alternative to the typical sort of message boards I find on the internet.

PolishGuy I don't think it's so you can self-promote, it's so that you can create discussions with the other members.
  19. DannyMilk's Avatar
I don't mind self promotion, as long as it's not at the "harrassment" level
  20. Wordsworth's Avatar
True that. I wonder how many people will take advantage of it?
