Efficiency, week 6
So, Bengals brought up the fact that measuring efficiency by points per yard was producing some wonky results, so I have decided to take a look by measuring efficiency by Point per play instead.
Remember that this doesn’t take into account XPs or FGs or defensive scoring, but simply the ability of keeping defenses honest.
Additionally, this is just an additional stat to look at, not a definitive response. PPG, yard per play are also important when judging.
Your top 5 efficient offenses are:
1 Green Bay: They are performing at 63.6% above league average in this metric. Ridonkulous
2 New England
3 Buffalo
4 Giants
5 Detroit
While the bottom 5 offenses are
28 Kansas City
29 Tampa Bay
30 Miami
31 South Jacsonville High
32 St Louis Rams: As good as the packers are, the Rams are bad. they are performing at -66.4 under league average in this metric
Your top 5 defenses are:
1 Ravens: -55.9% under league average in this metric. Maybe even subpar QB play won't stop this Ravens D this year.
2 Detroit & San Francisco
4 Redskins
5 Steelers
And the defensive sieves are
28 Saints
29 Carolina
30 Bills
31 Eagles
32 Kansas City: Don't expect Palmer to struggle against a Chiefs defense that is ridiculously dumb.
