My 12 year old daughter is a Patriots fan, otherwise, I probably wouldn't have bothered watching this game.
Even when the Bills were up 21-0, we both knew they weren't winning the game. I have never seen a single game that was such a perfect microcosm of team's season. The Bills started like a house on fire, playing perfect offense and getting a couple of defensive breaks.
And then the superior team made a couple of adjustments and the Bills were left flailing around helplessly. So, ending a season by giving up 49 straight points kind of marks anther new low for this woebegone franchise.

I didn't see the game, but closely followed the score. 49 unanswered points kept me shaking my head, wondering if the crawl was correct. While is shows some weakness on the part of the Pats (this slow starting will get us killed early in the playoffs), it's got to be a huge concern for the Bills, whom I was really pulling for earlier in the season. They clearly have a lot to address in the offseason. And I really don't understand the concept of a player not playing well after getting the big payday. Fitz never struck me as a "take the $ and run" kinda guy. What's going on here?

Fitzpatrick may be playing hurt. But a 1-8 finish to a season is sadly the price Bills fans pay for the fun of starting out 5-2. And to get destroyed in New England is a sad, sad way to end another terrible season. And as a bonus, Steve Johnson once again proved his stupidity. For which he'll probably be rewarded with a huge contract.
