MVP of the game should be Pierre Thomas. I know Brees has been very accurate, but the running game is giving him space in the middle on intermediate routes. Thomas breaks about 3553 tackles a play. Brees has also had literally 3-5 seconds of clean pocket. As I'm typing this, Sproles galloped to a TD. Saints rushing game and offensive line are very underrated.

Can't argue with that. Thomas has been tough, and that's made the passing attack even more insane than usual. Sproles is just one of my favorite players to watch, even though I'm sick to death of the Saints--you know, twice a year every year here, it's hard to take. I think Drew Brees should be banned as I'm pretty sure he's a robot.

It was too easy for him today. Detroit just can't cover. Flynn carved them up last week and now Brees. Both guys did it with minimal effort. The Saints held Detroits front 4 in check for most of the game. Brees had a clean pocket, plenty of time, and wide open WRs. There were only 3 or 4 throws that Brees made that any average college QB couldn't make. The Lions were outmatched.

I don't see how the 49ers score enough points to beat the Saints. I know it is on grass and the 49ers have a good defense but I just don't see anybody keeping them under 30.

I think it's going to be closer than you think. NO will win, but against Detroit, Brees has flawless because Detroit focused so heavily on the pass, NO gashed them on the ground. When Detroit would move guys in the box, NO would pass to wide open guys. A HS qb could have made some of those throws they were so easy. He won't get that vs SF. Their front 7 is worlds better than Detroits. Detroit has a couple good pass rushing D linemen, but vs the run they were awful. The Saints OL got them turned easily and they used Suh's aggression and over pursuit against him. I expect the saints to win, but maybe a score of 27-20. Brees will probably have a comp% around 65, about 240 yards, 2 TDs, a pick or two. This is the best d they'll play all year and it's going to slow him down.

I think the MVP is Saints Thomas Morstead.

As the Saints' punter, his brilliant strategy of sitting on the bench was key to the high-scoring 2nd half.

If Morstead can keep his amazing streak going throughout the playoffs, it will be a ring for him, for sure.

MVP is the voodoo hex some New Orleans priestess put on teh Lions defense to allow them to drop at least 3 interceptions, possibly 4. She's the MVP.
