    What's our Christmas present?

"Speaking of St. Martin, he was not at practice today, and a source close to the team told us that the Lions will be snagging us fans an early Christmas present. We were sworn to silence, but I can say that there are going to be a lot of smiles in Motown in a matter of days"

This was reported by Michael Stubbs from bleacherreport.com.

Since this was posted I have been very interested in who it is I will be smiling about. But this wait is killing me and the report of who is coming is long over due. As a fan from Cincinnati I don't hear insider reports much other than what I read.

Does anyone know who this might be?

And just to make the tread more interesting; who, Lions fans, are you hoping this present will be?

The only player I've heard of coming to the Lions recently is Derrick Johnson former first round LB from the Chiefs to replace Dizon and I think that could be a very solid move. Liked him alot coming out of college.

I'm sure that's it. Revis straight up for Dre Bly.

Well this was before Dizon's injury. And Bly for Revis sounds good to me. I even heard Revis is gonna take the same contract as Bly had.... one cane dream. But seeing Derrick Johnson would be nice; and maybe a trade for a DB. We will see hopefully soon.

Sounds good to me I'm sure they'd only want our first round picks for the next four or five years thrown in

Easy fellas. Someone from the Lions might take you seriously and make a move similar to Jimmy Johnson's coup d'etat with the Herschel Walker trade...
Screw you guys, I'm going home.

Obligatory Matt Millen draft joke inserted here. Losing first rounders may not be a bad thing for Detroit. Matt Millen-led draft were a lot like the "pretty new pet" speech in "Tommy Boy" at the diner.

Alright Michael Stubbs has given us an update. Jarred Page was the guy and they also were looking at Derrick Johnson. Stubbs points out they don't really care to trade them so they aren't going to just hand them over and he thinks someone like Sammie Lee Hill will need to be sent. I don't know if I like the idea of SLH for either or those guys. What do you think?
