Great reputation as a player for his understanding of the game. Rex Ryan loves him as a coach. I think working as a defensive line coach for a year will do nothing but enhance his perspective as a secondary coach. Understanding the bigger picture never hurts. To that end Mike Zimmer is excited to get the input of Hue Jackson helping to coach his secondary. Jackson will see things throught the eyes of an offensive mindset and Zimmer thinks that will be helpful in putting together better defensive game plans.
