There are a couple of chicken-and-waffles restaurants in the Atlanta area. Apparently it's a soul food combination. Haven't tried it yet.

I liked that music video. Understated rap, about the only kind I can handle. The visual style was fantastic.

Buck, I've gotta say I'm disappointed. The reference to el segundo was to tribe called quests song "I left my wallet in el segundo" cmon man!!! U seemed to be an old school hip hop aficionado with the ll references. I'll give u a pass just this once!

However I'd suggest downloading that song and checking it out...

Los Angeles is a giant, sprawling wasteland of concrete, asphalt and suck.

However, a lot of the surrounding cities are quite nice. And the Chinatown area near Dodger's stadium is interesting as long as you go well before dark.

Really hard to argue with this, even from a tourist's perspective.

Most of the time I've spent in L.A. has been at the airport or driving from the airport to San Diego, Santa Barbara, etc. (and back again). We did once drive from Oxnard to LA so the husband could see the world famous Peterson Automotive Museum, after which we zipped through a couple other museums and saw the LaBrea Tar Pits. We left around 5:00 pm on a weeknight (dumbass tourists) and decided to take the "scenic route" instead of getting back on the freeway. Geez o Pete. I've seen Boston and DC at rush hour, but nothing compares to L.A. The suburbs go on forever and so does the traffic. The museums were pretty good, though we rushed through everything but Peterson. The tar pits are depressing and smell like tar. Wherever you go, just don't try to get there or back during rush hour.
Tar pits and traffic notwithstanding, I positively love southern California and would move there in a heartbeat if I had buckets of money The scenery and the weather are magnificent.
