Breaking a three year drought in Free Agent signings (in fairness, after Duke Preston, what's left?), ESPN.com reports the Green Bay Packers have signed former Colts center Jeff Saturday.
Maybe that 2012 thing is on the level.

Apparently Ted Thompson's long awaited dip in the free agent pool created nary a ripple in these parts.
Got this from a story on Fox, does Green Bay's acquisition of Jeff Saturday signal an intention on the Packer's part to run the no huddle to a greater degree this year? Is it Mike McCarthy's intention to run and gun, with a D built to play with a lead, able to gamble to produce turnovers? The second bit is mine. GB does have those types of playmakers on defense. Maybe the thinking is it's easier to score more points than it is to generate a better every down pass rush.
WAIT.Packers sign Free Agent Saturday today.
Either Packers sign Free Agent today, Friday.
or
Packers sign Free Agent Saturday, which is tomorrow.

Sans the funny aliterations and the feeling of the pack dipping their toe into free agency this early, everyone has seemingly glanced past how this signing with wells going elsewhere is a huge DOWNGRADE!
Spin it as you wish, but Saturday is a far less player than wells at this point in both their careers. This isn't 2007. The pack put their thumb into a huge leak in the dam with the signing. They fixed zero. They got worse at the position actually. Saturday may be smarter at the position and calling the protections, but that doesn't even come close to how much better wells is physically.
