The Browns selected Travis Benjamin at the top of the fourth round today, making him that wide receiver we were all waiting--and waiting--for. I'll publish a formal write-up on the whole Browns draft either tonight or tomorrow, but for now, here are some brief thoughts on Benjamin and accompanied by a highlight video.

So, around the 1:15 mark, you'll notice that Benjamin, indeed, is faaaaaaaaast. He's a small guy, but he goes out and gets the ball--you can tell, for instance, he times his jumps well (something a certain receiver we took #3 overall couldn't ever figure out) and he had to, because a lot of these passes he's catching from Jacory Harris aren't very good throws. Great speed in the open field, agile, and I remember him from Ohio State's games against Miami. Knock on has to be the size, but he'll fit nicely into the slot in his rookie year and can certainly contribute on punts and kicks. More to come, look for it in the Browns forum and in the blog section...
