Observations from Browns at Packers 2012-08-16
These are my first pass thoughts now that I've gotten through the game.
Love Cobb, can we get him better mitts?
Tyler once again blew an opportunity and didn't really show up. Green had his issues (a blitz pickup was really bad and stalled the last first team drive). If all goes well, next week Benson and Kuhn are back.
Worthy got turned outside twice very easily... he can't let that happen. He is getting penetration and had no penalties this week.
I didn't see Perry doing anything horrible but next week need to focus on coverage with the Bengals WR/TE group. Mozes, showing up again.
MD Jennings, up and down, not so good at times and he's a second year guy. McMillian is a hitter. Teams are going to pick on the middle of the dime until the safeties start making plays.
Hayward is so up and down... if I had to pick between he and Bush, I'd pick Bush. House is the answer when healed. Brandian Ross made a few plays too. No idea how many we keep here.
Graham Harrell. Packers fans far and wide are having apoplexy. They'll get over it, eventually. The worst part was the throw away that was almost picked off; serious head scratcher. The hail mary doesn't bother me. The timing and placement need a lot of work.
Walden is doing the job, he's 3 among the OLBs and if Perry really struggles in coverage could spend some time starting.
Datko was a lot better a week later (to be fair he was better in the second half last week).
Boykin isn't particularly fast, but as advertised he catches anything thrown his way.
Hargrove and Neal almost didn't get onto the field.
