    Another crazy day in Miami

We have Gumble and Deirdorf. If the Pats win, we win the AFC East. It would be good to win, and go into the two week, two primetime, games vs Houston and San Francision. This game is in Miami, and is our 7th road game, the last, in Week 16, will be against the Jags. Miami's making us wear home blue. Ron Winter is the ref.

Dolphins D1: Start at the 16

1st and 10: Tannehill to Bess, dropped
    2nd and 10: Bush, 6
3rd and 4: Tannehill to Mathews, low, incomplete
4th and 3: Punt snap fumbled, punter tackled at the 12!

Pats D1: Start at the Miami 12

1st and 10: Ridley, 4. Called back by holding on Thomas
1st and 20: Brady to Hernandez, dropped
    2nd and 20: Brady to Welker, 12
    3rd and 8: Brady to Hernandez, 8
1st and goal: Brady to Hernandez, incomplete
2nd and goal: Ridley, 2 TD! 7-0 Pats. Starks hurt trying to make the tackle.

Dolphins D2: Start at the 20

    1st and 10: Bush, -3.
    2nd and 13: Tannehill to Hartline, 9
3rd and 4: Tannehill to Bess, way incomplete
    4th and 4: Punt

Pats D2: Start at the 26

1st and 10: Brady to Hernandez, dropped
2nd and 10: Brady to Fells, dropped
    3rd and 10: Brady to Edelman, 13
    1st and 10: Woodhead, 5
    2nd and 5: Brady to Woodhead, 11
1st and 10: Brady to Edelman, overthrown in the endzone
    2nd and 10: Brady to Welker, 10
1st and 10: Ridley, 2. Called back by holding on Volmer. Good call
    1st and 20: Brady to Welker, 13
    2nd and 7: Woodhead, 1
    3rd and 6: Brady, incomplete.
4th and 6: 49 yard fg missed. Partly blocked.

Dolphins D3: Start at the 39

    1st and 10: Bush, 4
    2nd and 6: Tannehill to Hartline, 9
1st and 10: Tannehill to Hartline, incomplete, overthrown deep.
    2nd and 10: Bush, 4
3rd and 6: Tannehill to someone, incomplete. Wilfork had pressure. CBS showed the pressure replay, which was nice, but never told us, or showed us, who was the intended reciever.
    4th and 6: Punt

Pats D3: Start at the 3.

    1st and 10: Ridley, 2
    2nd and 8: Brady to Hernandez, 20
1st and 10: Brady intercepted by Jones, returned for a TD. The TD is negated by offsetting low blocks. One on Ridley, one on Miami, the player not identifed by Ron Winter. Miami gets the ball at the spot of thier low block.

Dolphins D4: Start at the Pats 34

    1st and 10: Thomas, 3
2nd and 7: Thigpen, 8, on an end around. We almost blew it up.
1st and 10: Thomas, 3. Negated by holding on Jerry. We also find out Long went to the locker room a few minutes ago.
1st and 20: Tannehill, throw away
2nd and 20: Thomas, fumble, recovered by Incognito. Long hurt his tricep, questionable return. Miami timeout 1.
3rd and 19: Tannehill, 6. Refs miss a facemask on the tackle by Arrington. Pats timeout, to force Miami to try and kick the FG into the wind.
    4th and 13: 44 yard fg good. 7-3 Pats.

1st will end on the kickoff.

Pats D4: Start at the 24

1st and 10: Connely heading to the locker room. Brady to Welker, 8
2nd and 2: Ridley, -2. He broke a tackle, but then lost yards.
3rd and 4: Brady low to Welker, 3
4th and 1: False start on Ebner. Good call.
4th and 6: Punt away, but roughing the kicker gives us a first down! The Dolphin, Wilson, who hit Mesko gets hurt on the play.
1st and 10: Brady to Welker, low again, incomplete
2nd and 10: Brady to Welker, 14. Miami doesn't cover him.
    1st and 10: Brady to Welker, 7
2nd and 3: Brady to Fells, incomplete. PI called on Jones. I think it's a bad call.
1st and 10: Brady to Welker, incomplete. Dansby defended the pass.
    2nd and 10: Brady to Hernandez, 13
    1st and 10: Brady to Welker, 8
    2nd and 2: Woodhead, 2
    3rd and inches: Ridley, 2
1st and goal: Brady to Welker, incomplete
2nd and goal: Brady to Welker, 8, TD! 14-3 Pats.

Dolphins D5: Start at the 20

    1st and 10: Bush, 4
2nd and 6: Tannehill to Lane, Lane fumbles and recovers, 2
3rd and 4: Tannehill hit and fumbles, Scott with the hit, Vince recovers!

Pats D5: Start at the Miami 25

1st and 10: Brady sacked, -7, by Soliai and Wake
2nd and 17: Brady throws, McDaniels defelects and almost intercepts
    3rd and 17: Brady to Welker, 7
    4th and 10: 43 yard fg good. 17-3 Pats.

Dolphins D6: Start at the 20

1st and 10: Bush, 6. Hard run. Comes back from holding on Fasano.
1st and 20: False Start, Hartline.
    1st and 25: Tannehill to Fasano, 14
2nd and 11: Bush, 16. Possible missed holding on Miami.
1st and 10: Bush, 2. Negated by 12 men on D. We had 13, good call.
    1st and 5: Tannehill, 10
    1st and 10: Bush, 7
    2nd and 3: Bush, 7
1st and 10: Tannehill to Bess, incomplete. Ball was tipped by Spikes
    2nd and 10: Tannehill to Thigpen, 7
3rd and 3: Tannehill to Hardline, 17. Great play!
    1st and 10: Tannehill, -3, on a designed run
2nd and 13: Tannehill to Thomas, 13. He broke a tackle from Dennard
    1st and goal: Thomas, 0
2nd and goal: Tannehill, 3, TD. Really good fake run. Gratz to Miami on that play. 17-10 Pats.

Pats D6: Start at the 20

1st and 10: Pats kneel. Half over.

Both offenses have looked sloppy. Neither one is looking crisp yet. We're 4 of 7 on 3rd and 4th, they're 1 of 6. If they want to keep it a game, they need to pick that up. Officiating is good, slightly in our favor, I think. One missed hold on each team, and I don't think the PI called on them was a good call. No real impact by the call, though.

In the second half, we need to run more, I think. Also, 6 possessions each is not a good sign. Over the last couple years, if we have more then 10 possessions in a game, we tend to lose or have a nailbiter win.

Pats D7: Start at the 20.

1st and 10: Brady to Edelman, kinda low.
    2nd and 10: Ridley, 7
3rd and 3: Ridley, 3. Close to the first down. I'd ask for a measurement.
    4th and inches: Punt

Miami D7: Start at the 23

    1st and 10: Bush, 1
2nd and 9: Tannehill to Fasano, Spikes defends the pass
3rd and 9: Tannehill to Bush, high and off Bush's hands.
    4th and 9: Punt

Pats D8: Start at the 31. Nice return by Edelman.

1st and 10: Brady to Hernandez, looked like Dansby defended it
2nd and 10: Brady deep to Vereen, incomplete. PI called on Dansby. Again, iffy call, and 25 yards for us on the play. Dansby did interfere, but I think the ball was uncatachable.
    1st and 10: Ridley, 3
2nd and 7: Brady to Hernandez, 2. Strange looking play.
3rd and 5: Brady sacked by Wake, -4. Wake almost punched a ref celebrating.
    4th and 9: Punt.

Miami D8: Start at the 20.

    1st and 10: Bush, 1
    2nd and 9: Bush, 1
    3rd and 8: Tannehill to Clay, 20
1st and 10: Tannehill to Fasano, incomplete. Arrington with pressure.
2nd and 10: Thomas, -4. Wilfork and Mayo make the play.
    3rd and 14: Tannehill to Bess, 12
    4th and 2: Punt

Pats D9: Start at the 2. Great punt.

    1st and 10: Ridley, 5
    2nd and 5: Ridley, 4
    3rd and 1: Brady, 2
1st and 10: Ridley, 3. Negated by holding on Fells.
1st and 16: Brady to Welker, overthrown
    2nd and 16: Woodhead, 1
    3rd and 15: Brady to Woodhead, 4
4th and 11: Punt. Fells holding call was a killer.

Miami D9: Start at the Pats 49.

1st and 10: Tannehill to Bess, incomplete
2nd and 10: Bush, -4. Gregory and Ninkovitch make the play.
3rd and 14: Tannehill deep to Hartline, incomplete.
    4th and 14: Punt

Pats D10: Start at the 20

    1st and 10: Vereen, 4
2nd and 6: Brady to Welker, high, incomplete.
    3rd and 6: Brady to Hernandez, 7
    1st and 10: Woodhead, 14
    1st and 10: Woodhead, 3
    2nd and 7: Brady to Welker, 9
1st and 10: Vereen, 3. Nice run. Odrick, of Miami, hurt on the play. Looks like a one play injury.
    2nd and 7: Brady to Hernandez, 6
End of the third. Deirdorf has mentioned, twice, that we have yet to target Brandon Lloyd today. We need to get him involved.
3rd and 1: Brady to Hernandez, 31. Add 2 yards on a facemask on Clemons.
1st and goal: Brady sacked by Jones, -5. You know, when the other team blitzes a corner on first and goal from the 2, you're throwing too much.
2nd and goal: Brady to Welker, dropped in the endzone.
3rd and goal: Brady sacked by Nisi, -8.
4th and goal: 32 yard fg good. Pats 20-10. Bad series by Josh. Hey, Josh! Run the ball! 1st and goal on the 2, give it to Ridley or Vereen on at least one play.

Miami D10: Start at the 20

1st and 10: Bush, 13. Nice run, and a lucky tackle by Denard.
1st and 10: Tannehill sacked, -1, by Scott
2nd and 11: Tannehill deep to Hartline, underthrown.
    3rd and 11: Tannehill to Hartline, 23
1st and 10: Tannehill to Hartline, incomplete. PI on Talib. Again, iffy PI call, but they're consistenent. No complaints.
    1st and 10: Bush, 5
    2nd and 5: Bush, 0
    3rd and 5: Tannehill, 4, on a scramble.
4th and inches: Thomas, 7. Thier line was great on that play.
    1st and 10: Tannehill to Clay, 6
2nd and 4: Tannehill to Hartline, incomplete
3rd and 4: Tannehill sacked by Mayo, -11!
    4th and 15: 33 yard FG good. 20-13 Pats.

On a little note, Hartline is kicking Talib's butt today. Edelman's gone to the locker room, with a foot injury. 8:28 to play. Note, we're at that 10 possesion marker.

Pats D11: Start at the 20

    1st and 10: Ridley, 3
    2nd and 7: Brady to Hernandez, 8
    1st and 10: Ridley, 8
2nd and 2: Ridley, 8. Yeah. Run the ball, and the clock!
    1st and 10: Ridley, 5
2nd and 5: Brady to Welker, 6. Under 5 minutes
    1st and 10: Ridley, 11
    1st and 10: Ridley, 1. Timeout, Miami. 4:15 left.
2nd and 9: Brady to Lloyd, 10! There he is! Whoot!
    1st and 10: Ridley, 0. Miami timeout 2. 4:05 left.
    2nd and 10: Vereen, 8. Miami timeout 3, 4:00 left.
    3rd and 2: Ridley, 3
    1st and goal: Ridley, 3
    2nd and goal: Ridley, 2.
Two minute warning! 6:28 off the clock on this drive, so far.
3rd and goal: Brady goes down to set up a FG. We call timeout at 1:15 to play. I don't like that play. Try for the TD.
4th and goal: 21 yard FG good. 23-13. 1:10 to play. I'd laugh if we onsides kicked to try and end it.

Miami D11: Start at the 20

    1st and 10: Tannehill to Matthews, 28
    1st and 10: Spike
2nd and 10: Tannehill to Hartline, 27. He was wide open and fell oob.
1st and 10: Tannehill to Hartline, incomplete
2nd and 10: Miami goes for a 42 yard FG.It's good, 23-16. Not sure about that. Time for the onsides kick. We played bad D there.

31 seconds to go. We call timeout before they do the kick, so BB can see the formation they used. Miami had both the kicker and punter on the field, so that could also have factored into the timeout. Onsides kick is recovered by Lloyd!

Game over! We're the AFC East Champs!

Ugly game, but it's a win. We'll stay as the #3 seed, no matter what this week. We have the tiebreaker over Denver, and the Ravens have it over us, so even if they lose today (and I don't think they willl), they'll still be the #2 seed.

I thought the refs did good today. I thought all 3 PIs were iffy, at best, but they called them on both teams, in the same manner, so it balances. Still, the NFL head of officiating needs to talk to that crew, and give them a 'this is what PI is' class.

It feels good. I remember a lot of 2-14, 4-12, 5-11 Pats teams. So, it's nice to have a run like this. It'll end at some point, though, they always do. Next two games are toughies. MNF vs Houston, SNF vs 49ers. We'll see how we are then. If we 0-2, it's likely not our year, if we 1-1, we have to be considered legit. If we 2-0, then I think we're a real Super Bowl threat.

Also, no changes, at all, in the seedings. AFC 1 to 6 are the same as last week. So we still go, Pitt, @Ravens, AFC Championship to get to New Orleans.

I remember some of those old Pats teams too. Houston will be a very interesting game. I see them as the power team in the AFC. That game should give us a good feel for where the conference stands.
