    NFL Week 16 open thread

Another impressive outing for Matt Ryan and Julio Jones. Home field sealed.

I wonder how often a player sets a season record in a season when his team is struggling? I believe the year OJ set the rushing record his Bills were bad. Not so Dickerson, though.

A dogfight in Dallas. Is anyone surprised?

Same in Philly. To be expected, a divisional game and the Eagles would love to be spoilers.

And Houston is not looking impressive, yet again. Peterson just ripped off a 20 yard run and the Texans are having trouble containing him.

Man, Arrowhead looks half empty. Well done, Scott Pioli.

An interesting rules play in Green Bay. Second half kickoff by Tennessee didn't reach the end zone. It rolled to a stop near the sideline at the 4 yard line. Randall Cobb, the return man, made sure he put one foot out of bounds before he touched the ball. Because he did that, by rule the kickoff is out of bounds, even though the ball never left the playing field.

So instead of starting on their own 4 yard line, the Packers start on their 40. Smaht man, that Randall Cobb. Good coaching.

Wow, Texans bench Schaub. Basically concede the game. At home. They can still clinch home field next week. But this is not how you finish a season if you want post-season success.

Woo hoo, Redskins win on a grounding call, time expires.

FedEx is going to be crazy next week.

Congratulations to the Bengals. At the start of the season we talked about a possible regime change at the top of the AFC. Pittsburgh is the first giant to fall. Baltimore isn't going to last very long in the playoffs, the way things are going. Of the Big Three, only New England is chugging along normally. Even relative n00b Houston is struggling.

Who'd a thunk that the strongest playoff teams in the AFC would include Denver, Indianapolis and Cincinnati? Regime change indeed.

In the Dallas game, in OT, what was the initial Onfield ruling on the funble?

For reasons unknown the back judge signalled Dallas recovered the fumble, even though it was obvious a Saint recovered it.
