Sleepwalking in Jacksonville.
Two weeks to go, and we get the last road game of the regular season for us. In Jacksonville. It seems next year, if we had this game, Tebow would be starting. But, it's this year, and that means Chad Henne. We have no Gronk, no Spikes, no Dennard. This is one of the things that make football great. I'd have never imagined, in September, that Dennard would make the 'we won't have him' list. Ya never know who will step up over the course of the season, and Dennard has become more and more valuable as the year's progressed. I'd like us to put this game away by halftime and get two quarters of Mallet.
We have Kevin Harlan and Solomon Wilcots as the broadcast team. Tripplette is the ref. I'm guessing we'll see 5 PIs of which 3 will be scratch your head ones.
Jags D1: Start at the 22
1st and 10: Henne to Blackmon, 18
1st and 10: Owens, 3
2nd and 7: Henne to Lewis, 4
3rd and 3: Henne to Shorts, 10
1st and 10: Owens, 14
1st and 10: Henne to Owens, 12
1st and 10: Henne to Lewis, 9
2nd and 1: Murphy, 5
1st and goal: Henne to Blackmon, 3, TD. 7-0 Jags.
On the bad side, they carved us up. On the good side, Harlan is great at play by play. Every single play, he does the play by play. Wilcots gives decent analysis, and, even the truck does well. When the Jags went hurry up, the truck didn't go to replays, they kept us on the field. Every other broadcast team needs to watch these guys. They do it right.
Pats D1: Start at the 22. Slater is returning kickoffs with Devin starting at corner.
1st and 10: Brady to Lloyd, incomplete low. Somehow Tripplete's crew calls Cox of the Jags for PI. As you can tell, I think it's a horrible call.
1st and 10: Ridley, 3

End of the first. We are playing like we're sleeping.

Jags D7: Start at the 32 after a squib kick.

2nd and 10: Henne to Blackmon, 9.
Jags take timeout with 5 seconds left in the half.
3rd and 1: Henne to Shipley, 19. Half ends
Given the fact we've been asleep, I'm happy to be tied at the half. Tripplette's crew and the CBS Booth both have A's at this point. We need to come out strong in the 3rd.
Jags are 2 of 7 on 3rd down. Pats are 3 of 5. Neither team has a 4th down attempt.
