Since we're already talking about the games, we might as well have a new thread.

Is Justin Smith going to play?
Justin Smith will play "lord willing and the creek don't rise" according to Harbaugh.

Watching the SF-GB game from week 1 on NFLN...these replacement refs were BAD. I didn't realize just how bad...Rodgers just had a big 40 yard bomb erased on a phantom Offensive PI call. He was able, despite 3 15 yard penalties on the drive, to score a TD anyway on the drive, but it's just frustrating to watch.

Somebody hold me.
“If you ask me how I want to be remembered, it is as a winner. You know what a winner is? A winner is somebody who has given his best effort, who has tried the hardest they possibly can, who has utilized every ounce of energy and strength within them to accomplish something. It doesn't mean that they accomplished it or failed, it means that they've given it their best. That's a winner.”
― Walter Payton

CHFF has posted an interesting article on seeding
take a look at http://www.coldhardfootballfacts.com...chances/20768/
and I believe the NFC West is the toughest conference this year, SEA all the way???
I'll gladly form an opinion.... will it be.... the right one? the wrong one? or somewhere in between?
This picture of Joe Flacco, from ESPN, is one of the greatest shots of a quarterback I've ever seen:
That look on his face? Wow.
@kocsan
Look, man, I know a lot about whatever it is you're talking about.

That's interesting, thanks. I think it was an episode of Elementary last night in which a character made a pertinent observation. In the aggregate, statistics like the ones in that article are very informative, predictive even. But they don't help at all when it comes to predicting the actions of an individual, or, in our case, the outcome of a single game.
I must say, though, they're making me feel very queasy about my SF pick!
There seem to be a bunch of UM fans here.
As part of this weeks game run up Jennings got some attention and we learned that he had orally committed to Michigan. At some point, Lloyd Carr decided he wanted Braylon Edwards instead, Jennings wound up at Western Michigan and added a chip to his shoulder.
No word on whether Carr or Edwards got a nasty letter from Valyncia Jennings.
