I have lots of cards. I have full sets from 81 to 90. I have unopened boxes randomly from 91-04. Eventually, there got to be so many card companies, and card editions and special inserts that I stopped collecting and just bought a box here and there. Over saturation of the market really turns me off.

The saturation is what kills me too. I started collecting in the mid 90s and by the time I started working in the early 2000s, most sets were impossible to complete without a ton of cash. They've made it now where it's basically pointless to get anything except for a hobby box which severely devalues the cards. I just got a hobby box of 2006 Fleer Hot Prospects and they give you 1 patch auto rookie per box. I got a Charlie Whitehurst quad jersey patch autograph rookie card numbered to 600? Maybe... And its BV is $15. On the contrary, my buddy has a Charlie Frye SP authentic patch auto rookie and it's BV is $40. Two crap QBs, only difference is the sets. One gave the things away while the others made them rare. I think the SP patch/autos were 1 every 4 boxes...each box was $150-$175. I bought the Hot Prospects box for $41.

I have a few that I keep around. My Frank Minnifield card is my favourite bookmark.
