    Flacco

Flacco and his reps thinks he deserves Manning/Brees money. Heck, I don't think Manning or Brees should be paid what they are. And Flacco? You've got to be kidding me.

Seller's market, that's for sure. Good time to be negotiating a new deal. Franchise tag?

If necessary, the tag will be used. There is about a .1% chance right now that Flacco is wearing any jersey other than Baltimore one next season.

It's probably a lower probability than that kaba. Barring a career ending injury next Sunday, he's wearing purple and black next season.

His camp is screaming for pm/ Brees money, but they know more likely they are going to get Eli/ big Ben money. When you're selling something you start out offering it way high, leaving room for negotiations, so both sides can feel good about the end deal..

Heck, flacco may get close to Brees money simply because the fa and draft options suck so horribly this year. The ravens should have offered an extension last year, but they gambled to save money. That gamble didn't work out at all.

Same decision the Bengals have to make next year...

Classic negotiating move. They're anchoring. They dont expect Brees money, but by asking for it, they're more than likely to get more than if they played the humble card.

He should refuse to play if they try to use the tag on him. His stock will be at its highest with or without a SB win. He'll still be a Raven, but he'll be overpaid in the process.
If you ask me how I want to be remembered, it is as a winner. You know what a winner is? A winner is somebody who has given his best effort, who has tried the hardest they possibly can, who has utilized every ounce of energy and strength within them to accomplish something. It doesn't mean that they accomplished it or failed, it means that they've given it their best. That's a winner.”

Agreed 100%. They don't even have close to an ok option otherwise. A trade for smith, Flynn, or {Tebow}?? As Bengals1181 would say... Child please..

It's flacco or bust... That boat has set sail.. speaking of otherwise? NEVERMORE

As long as he warns them ahead of time, sounds fair. But it will hurt his standing with fans, who almost always side with management for reasons I don't understand.

Baltimore is currently projected to have about $15.5M in cap space this offseason, so money isn't likely to be an issue in re-signing him. It'll be even more with Lewis getting his contract technically removed from the books, so I feel pretty confident that a deal will get done.

I think fans have a hard time sympathizing for a guy who is going to make a crazy amount of money fully guaranteed for a year.
