During the season we've got a weekly thread and darn it, we need something like it during the off season. We'll see how this goes.

Two NFC North items.
First, Johnny Knox has retired. I liked him and he was a thorn in our butt. Sadly, more than a year into his recovery and he is still not walking well.

The Viking have 'evolved' the norseman. The horns have less shading and look like the ones on their helmets, the lines on face are bolder and the stoke used for the eye has changed and finally, there is less braid (I wish they'd said there was less pony tail).

Somewhat applicable to Evan's Divisional Capology breakdowns, the current tender values for RFAs from @AlbertBreer back on Jan 15 (I've been waiting for newer numbers):
1st round : $2.879M, 1st round compensation
2nd round : $2.023M, 2nd round compensation
Orig round : $1.323M, original draft round compensation

You can tell that the size of the Norseman's head is larger.
Am I the only one thinking PEDs here?
I'm heartbroken by Knox. That was a horrific injury. I can only hope that the rest of his life isn't horribly affected.

I wandered into a new capology site last night:

Very cool site, though I much prefer spotrac.com. I liked it so much I paid $30 for premium service.

Sportrac listed Jonathon Goodwin as a cornerback for most of the year. In their defense, it's tough to tell a center from a DB on film. They look exactly the same.
