Try to predict roster as camp opens, again

So the image trick didn't work.

Sigh. Will work on doing text when I can. Suffice to say:; 2 QBs, 2 FBs, 4TEs, 6WRs, 7 OL.

Bold make the final roster. Italic make practice squad. Otherwise I don't think they make it here.

    # NAME POS. AGE EXP. COLLEGE EXPECTATION THOUGHTS
    70 Wood, Eric C 29 7 Louisville Starter Solid
33 Brooks, Ron CB 26 4 LSU Fourth CB until he gets injured Will get injured, but decent in kicking game

30 Butler, Mario CB 26 2 Georgia Tech
29 Cockrell, Ross CB 23 2 Duke Only dresses due to injury
28 Darby, Ronald CB 21 R Florida State Third Outside CB Will be The Weakest Link, but that isn't saying a lot - I think he will be OK, though not as good as McKelvin, ever, because despite what they are saying he has worse ball skills and instincts.
24 Gilmore, Stephon CB 24 4 South Carolina Starter, eventually injured Good not great, will probably get injured before Halloween again.
20 Graham, Corey CB 29 9 New Hampshire Starter at Safety Best DB, should still be at corner unless Rambo stinks it up.
21 McKelvin , Leodis CB 29 8 Troy Starter Hope he doesn't get hurt again. Probably will. Also will do well in return to aggressive man coverage.
37 Robey, Nickell CB 23 3 USC First Nickel Best nickel DB in th eleague? Worth considering.

44 Sweeting, Rod CB 24 2 Georgia Tech
41 Thomas, Cam CB 24 R Western Kentucky
55 Hughes, Jerry DE 26 6 TCU Starter Awesome to have stolen him a couple years ago.

    69 Larsen, BJ DE 26 R Utah State S.W.A.G.
91 Lawson, Manny DE 30 10 NC State Career year as Starter Career year.
56 Reed, Cedric DE 22 R Texas PS
Fluellen, Andre DE Steady Eddie Solid.

    67 Williams, Erik DE 23 R Bethune-Cookman
94 Williams, Mario DE 30 10 NC State Starter Solid
92 Wynn, Jarius DE 28 7 Georgia Solid
Buchanon, Michael Perfect body, so Doogie wins this one on a guy who never dresses.
97 Bryant, Corbin DT 27 3 Northwestern Solid
98 Carrington, Alex DT 27 5 Arkansas State Solid, blocks stupid number of kicks again (I hope.)

96 Charles, Stefan DT 26 3 Regina (Canada) Him or Mike Buchanon
99 Dareus, Marcell DT 25 5 Alabama Starter Solid

    72 Hamilton, Justin DT 21 R Louisiana-Lafeyette
    90 Towns, Jeremy DT 26 1 Samford
95 Williams, Kyle DT 31 10 LSU Starter Best
38 Conner, John FB 27 6 Kentucky Do they only keep 7 OL? OK
42 Felton, Jerome FB 28 8 Furman OK

    43 Knox, Corey FB 25 1 Buffalo
    62 Campbell, William G 23 1 Michigan
    64 Incognito, Richie G 31 9 Nebraska Starting LG

    63 Johnson, Darryl G 24 1 New Mexico

    76 Miller, John G 21 R Louisville Starting RG

    73 Morrell, D.J. G 23 1 Old Dominion

    60 Urbik, Kraig G 29 7 Wisconsin Backup Center/Guard
    2 Carpenter, Dan K 29 8 Montana Kicker

4 Gay, Jordan K 25 2 Centre Luxury is gone, although they are als using him as a punte,r which is interesting.
53 Bradham, Nigel LB 25 4 Florida State Starting Mediocrity
52 Brown, Preston LB 22 2 Louisville Starting MLB - taken advantage of in assing game, largely maksed by DL
45 Gaines, Jimmy LB 22 1 Miami (FL) Just guessing

26 Dixon, Anthony RB 27 6 Mississippi State Too good to cut; Team shill loves the fact his nickname is Boobie, cause he gets to write Boobie a lot.
22 Jackson, Fred RB 34 9 Coe College Number 2 until McCoy injured
25 McCoy, LeSean RB 26 7 Pittsburgh Starter until injury

OK, I just had 54 guys make the team. Who gets cut after Dareus suspension ends in Week 2? Probably a DB or WR.

    Some developments:

FB John Conner, who will one day save humanity, has a hamstring injury. At his age and size, it bodes ill.

Cyril Richardson appears to have improved greatly and is challenging the Anointed Rookie John Miller at RG. Looks like he will stick, at Conner's expense, which will allow more time to focus on Cyberdyne.

Anthony Dixon has developed a calf injury, might be out a month. Could get interesting there, too.

In order to make room on the roster for the guy who just gave the Jets a chance, Buffalo waived/injured rookie TE Clay Burton, who may have turned out to be more of a flag football hero.

TE spot is getting interesting. HC is *****ing about the groups collective ability to block. One guy excepted (former Jet Matthew Mulligan.) The other four guys are all really good at being receivers.

Clay is guaranteed a spot. After that it will be Gray and Mulligan. O'Leary, they will either stash on IR or keep instead of a fullback. Given they love having a fullback so much they signed two good ones, I think O'Leary gets stashed, and Chris Gragg is odd man out for no other reason than being someone else's pick, and not having been very good the last couple years.

Jarius Wynn's ACL got torn in the first pre-season game. Hence, either Stefan Charles or IK Enemkpali will take his place. And I think rookie FA Cedric Reed has already leap-frogged someone else, so another inaccuracy from my first try.

Oh, and do not be surprised if Mario Butler takes Ross Cockrell's spot, due to both Cockrell injury and Butler being good in camp.

Ty Powell torn ACL. Backup MLB to be? Jimmie Gaines if he stays healthy.

Turns out Rex Ryan loves Deonte Thompson. Deonte Thompson is not seriously injured in any way that has been publicized in my vision. Injured guys who are assured of roster spots are rehabbing in Buffalo instead of going to the last preseason game. Thompson is on that list. Looks like Chris Hogan is going to Cleveland.

OK, some updates. Doug Whaley is still there.

    **** me.

Someone in the building spent part of today leaking things that make Whaley look bad. I don't mind. I think he stands in the way of long term success. Unsurprisingly, Ryan's talk of having three really good QBs might just be an attempt to drum up a trade offer for Manuel or Cassell. No market developing means they probably dump Cassell, who is more likely to still be around should Taylor get injured or really suck early.

All the running backs expected to be on the opening day roster are still hurt.

John Conner is likely to lose the FB job to Jerome Felton, and I would not be surprised to see him in New England, replacing the dude with the broken ankle.

Percy Harvin is still injured. Shocking, I know.

Marquise Goodwin got some broken ribs after going tough over the middle again. Socking (you know, given he is maybe the fastest guy in any game, it is possible you don't need to trick people with him. Three or four long passes in his direction every week, completed or not, are not a terrible idea.

Nick O'Leary is looking like a practice squad candidate, along with Dezmin Lewis. Rounds 6 and 7 of this year's draft.

John Miller is going to start at RG. Seantrel Henderson is going to start at RT. Not surprising. They have stopped speaking well of Kouandjio. He will play a lot Thursday. Look for Detroit's safeties to feast.
