Bills game two.

Game two against the Bills. It's our last home division game of the regular season. We could have one in the playoffs. A win today would give us a two game lead over Cincy and Denver for the 1 seed with six games to play. It would also knock Miami out of the division race.

It's a big game for them, too. A win would put them in second, a game in front of the Jets and just three behind us with six to go. Rex always makes things hard on us, but I think we'll take this game.

Our notable inactives are Tre Jackson, Jamie Collins (3 games now that he's been down with a virus. I hope he's ok), Jules, Seaver Silag and Trey Flowers.

Bills notable inactive is Kyle Williams.

The weather will be cold, below freezing by the end of the game, but no chance of rain. Mike Tirico and John Gruden have the call. Gene Steretore is the ref. His crew calls 14 penalties per game, so it's not too likely to be a flag fest.

Bills P1: Start at the 20. Three and out! Mayo with a huge play. He dropped Shady for a 4 yard loss on 2nd and 1.

Pats P1: Start at the 34. Marcus Easley of the Bills hurt on the return. Sloppy opening drive. We start with Blount running for 2, then Brady finding Gronk for 10. Blount get stopped for no gain, then the sloppy starts. Andrews jumps giving us 2nd and 15. Brady finds White on a screen and we get 13. On 3rd and 2, Cannon jumps. 3rd and 7. Brady goes to Gronk, it goes off his hands and is picked by Rambo. However, offsetting fouls gives us a new 3rd and 7. On that play, Brady finds Danny for 11. Blount gets 1, we miss Danny, and the Dobson can't make a catch. That was because Gilmore interfered. First down. Brady misses Gronk, Blount runs for 3. On 3rd and 7, Danny can only get 5. We kick a 35 yard FG. 3-0 Pats. 7:29 left in the first.

Bills rush is solid at this point.

Bills P2: Start at the 13. They move the ball but come up empty. They start with a pass to Woods for 7 yards. Shady gets back to back carries for 5. Taylor goes back to Woods for 10. Then Shady gets two more carries for 15. That gave them 2nd and 6. Williams gets 3, and on 3rd and 3, Taylor scrambles for 8. But it comes back on illegal formation. On the 3rd and 8, Taylor misses Woods and they punt.

Pats P2: Start at the 26. Bad possession. We lead with a 28 yard completion to LaFell, then 3 and out.

Bills P3: Start at the 15. This possession will get us to the second quarter as it starts with just 3 seconds in the quarter. The quarter ends with an incomplete pass to Shady.

The second starts with Shady gaining 2 yards. On 3rd and 8, Chandler Jones gets pressure and almost a sack! But Taylor gets away and finds Woods for 18 yards. Great play. On the next play, Shady gets 6. But, on the play, John Miller, the RG, is hurt and carted off.

After the injury,Taylor finds Shady for 7. Williams gets a touch and gets 5. He fumbles on the play, but recovers his own fumble. Shady runs for 7, then catches a pass for 4. Williams runs for 2. On 3rd and 6, Taylor goes deep to Hogan, but the pass is broken up by Chung. They make a 53 yard FG to tie the game at 3 with 9:27 left in the half.

Pats P3: Start at the 20. Three and out. The offense is looking flat.

Bills P4: Start at the 31. Three and out.

Pats P4: Start at the 13. Great coverage by the Bills. 9 plays and a punt. Bills defense is playing really really good. Our best play on the drive was a 17 yard catch by Dobson and he was hurt on the play.

Bills P5: Start at the 18. They get three plays before the warning. Shady had two carries for 6, and then Butler blew a coverage and Hogan gained 31 on a wide open play.

After the warning, Taylor finds Hogan for 9, and then Shady runs for 2 and gets the first down. But, then, they blow a chance. Woods drops an 11 yard pass on first down. On second down, Taylor finds Hogan for 4. On 3rd and 6, they go to the endzone, to Shady, but Devon knocks the ball out. Shady was hurt, but it didn't seem to be serious. They go for the 48 yard FG, but it goes off the upright. It stays 3-3 with :46 left in the half.

Pats P5: Start at the 38. We get a drive. Brady misses LaFell. He finds Danny for 18, and we call timeout 1. We find LaFell for 24. We call timeout 2. The catch is reviewed and stands. Brady throws away to LaFell, then another throw away to White. On 3rd and 10, White gets a catch, make a man miss at the 11, and goes to the endzone. 20 yard TD pass. 10-3 Pats with :13 left.

Bills P6: Start at the 35. They kneel and go the locker room.

Both defenses are playing great. I want to give the Bills a lot of credit, they have not let us get going. On the other side, our defense is playing very well. Mayo's having an impact for the first time in a long time.

We can hope that the last drive of the half rattled the defense of the Bills and that we can start ripping out some points.

Pats P6: Start at the 20. The drive was dominated by officiating. The drive starts with a 1 yard pass to Danny. The Bills were offsides. On the first and 5, Brady finds Danny for 6.

And then the roof falls off. Brady is under pressure, rolls, and throws. It looks like a throw away, but Danny makes the catch at the 50, and is off for the endzone. Then comes the whistle. Everyone stops.

After a long conference, it turns out that Rex Ryan was interfering with the side judge. The side judge lifted the whistle to his lips to warn Rex, and accidently blew it. This was ruled as a catch, plus a 15 yard call on the Bills bench. Instead of a touchdown, we had the ball at the Bills 40.

After the fiasco, Brady misses LaFell. Blount gets 4, and then Brady misses Danny. We line up for a 54 yard FG and Steven misses for the first time this season. It stays 10-3 with 12:35 in the half.

So, because Rex Ryan cheated, we lose a TD.

Let me repeat this: Rex Ryan, the Head Coach of the Bills, Cheated and the Patriots were penalized for it.

To be fair, Kaba made a point in the chatroom that Rambo was deep on the play. It is possible that he could have tackled Danny, but we would have been much closer to the endzone and we likely would have gotten at least 3.

Bills P7: Start at the 44. Taylor goes to Watkins and misses. He then finds Shady for 11 and Clay for 14. Shady then gets two carries and gets 31 yards and a TD. 10-10, 10:29 left in the third.

Pats P7: Start at the 22. Three and out.

Bills P8: Start at the 37. Three and out! Chandler Jones blows up a 3rd and 3 quarterback run.

Pats P8: Start at the 36. We strike!! We find Danny for 9 on first down. Rambo hurt his shoulder on the tackle. Brady then goes to LaFell and gets 5. Blount got three. On 2nd and 7, we go to Gronk, but it's incomplete. On 3rd and 7, we go back to Danny. He breaks a tackle and goes for 41! That gave us 1st and goal at the 6. James White takes it in for the TD on the next play! 17-10 Pats. 5:55 in the third.

Bills P9: Start at the 20. Three and out! Great job defense!

Pats P9: Start at the 34. Three and out.

Danny and Rambo are both out and questionable to return.

They fumble the punt! We recover. We fumble and it goes out. We keep it!

Pats P10: Start at the Bills 30. We push the lead up. Blount gets 4 carries in a row for 14 yards. On 3rd and 7, we miss Gronk, and then take a 35 yard FG. 20-10 Pats. :47 left in the third.

Bills P10: Start at the 20. The quarter ends with a 1 yard Shady run, then a 5 yard Taylor to Shady pass. The fourth will start with the Bills having a 3rd and 4.

We sack Taylor on that 3rd and 4 and they punt!

Pats P11: Start at the 28. Before our first snap of the drive, the Bills call timeout. They have 1 left and we have 2. Rambo is back in. We find Gronk (finally) for 25. Then Brady goes to Harper. It goes off his hands, and Gilmore gets a pick.

Bills P11: Start at the 6. 6 plays and a punt. We blew up a 3rd and inches run to give them a 4 and 2. I would have gone for it. 10:04 left.

Pats P12: Start at the 7. 5 plays and a punt. 7:35 left.

Bills P12: Start at the 25. They close the gap. Taylor leads it off with a 5 yard run. Shady drops a pass. On 3rd and 5, Taylor goes to Watkins. Watkins makes a great catch for 15. Taylor and Watkins are both hurt on the play. Chucky and Tirico point out afer every play that Taylor is grimacing.

After a handoff to Williams loses two yards, Taylor goes deep to Hogan. Hogan beats Chung and gets 42. They are at the Pats 15. Shady loses 4, Taylor finds Hogan to get the 4 back, and then he misses Gragg on 3rd and 10. They take the 33 yard FG. 20-13. 3:30 left.

Pats P13: Start at the 25. We three and out. They use thier last timeout, and we use timeout 2. We'll punt after the two minute warning.

Bills P13: Start at the 16. McKelvin with another fumbled punt, but he fell on it.
1st and 10: Taylor to Woods, 9. 1:22 left.
2nd and 1: Taylor, 4. 1:09 left.
1st and 10: Taylor to Shady, 4. 1:01 left.
2nd and 6: Taylor to Woods. The pass is batted down by Chung, :57 left.
3rd and 6: Overthrow. Butler almost with a pick. :50 left.
4th and 6: Taylor to Watkins, 8. :46 left.
1st and 10: Taylor to Shady, drop. :40 left
2nd and 10: Nink strips Taylor, Bills recover.
3rd and 18: Taylor to Watkins, 15.

Wow. That was a rough game. They played great on defense. They played good on offense. The Bills two minute drive clock management sucked. I also question why they left a clearly hurt Taylor in.

We lost Dola and Dobson, hopefully not for long.

But, ugly or not, it's still 10-0!!! A win is a win!
