Well, I have to say, if the other guy was banned then Fireman Ed should be as well. They looked equally at fault to me. But seriously, I've seen worse at childrens' soccer matches. Based on that video I'd say security over reacted in a big way if either guy is banned.

No telling what happened off-camera though.

Ordinarily I's agree with you, but I think the difference is the other guy went out of his way to cause trouble while Fireman Ed did not. Frankly I would have been OK with Ed punching him out for being a jerk, but I digress.

I do think a lifetime ban was too harsh. Maybe banned for the rest of the year, but for life seems a bit drastic to me. But then again, it's not me who'se gonna get sued if this guy starts a fight and someone gets hurt.

This is a fascinating item taken in a larger context.

NFL attendance is down. The #1 reason I hear is that the experience of watching a game has grown thuggish for a family while home has grown better with HDTV.

This behavior was minor, BUT just like Braylon Edwards, celebrity comes with attention when things get legal.

This can easily become a focus for what happens to thugs at NFL games. I wonder when this will "catch" with the national media?

A drunk guy being an a-hole starting a skirmish is now a Roger issue because of attendance.
