My hypocrisy goes only so far.
lol. I had totally forgotten about the King's Island clip.
haha I don't think I've ever seen it.
<sigh> Sam would have been so great on this site but he's just from the wrong generation. He'd call me a couple of times a week because he couldn't find the site, he eventually just gave up.
did you ever check in with Willie Anderson?
And yea, I'd love to get some pros back. I ran into Lapham in October and he didn't even know the site was still running.
It would be great to listen to Sam talk about schemes and play structure.
There was an article in the Cincinnati Enquirer in the 1991 season which I have searched for a lot of years, but just cannot locate.
It came on the heels of a loss to the Redskins (err the Washington NFL team). The entire article was just the soliloquy Sam had to the press after the game. No one asked any questions--mainly because Sam said his peace, and then left. It was a thing of in-the-press'-face beauty.
It contained my most remembered Sam statement--even more than Cleveland: "This game isn't worth it. The National Football League isn't worth it. There's golf to be played and tennis to be served up and other things to be done out there besides worryin' about a friggin' football game."
If anyone could come up with this entire article, I would be most appreciative.
