Annual roster guess, a touch late

I am doing it fastly this year, organized by position. In bold if they make the active roster, asterisk for starter, PS in italics (I know most PS guys come form other teams, but I have kids and cannot go that deeply into anything any more

    # NAME POS. HT. WT. AGE EXP. COLLEGE
70 Wood, Eric* C 6-4 310 31 9 Louisville Duh. Though he is getting old-guy brittle and will probably be replaced next year.
28 Darby, Ronald* CB 5-11 193 23 3 Florida State Eh. My assessment of him as a draft pick stands. He will be replaced next year.
    38 James, Charles CB 5-9 185 27 4 Charleston Southern
    24 Johnson, Leonard CB 5-10 194 27 6 Iowa State
    26 Mabin, Greg CB 6-2 200 23 R Iowa
    45 Sayles, Marcus CB 5-10 175 22 R West Georgia
29 Seymour, Kevon CB 6-0 185 23 2 Southern California Replaces the superior tiny guy, Nickell Robey
    27 White, Tre'Davious* CB 5-11 192 22 R LSU 1st round rookie they keep selling.
    20 Wright, Shareece CB 5-11 184 30 7 USC
    41 Sylve, Bradley DB 6-0 180 1 Alabama
    56 Davis, Ryan DE 6-2 260 28 6 Bethune-Cookman
55 Hughes, Jerry* DE 6-2 254 28 8 Texas Christian Yeah. Probably have his best year past or future this season.
90 Lawson, Shaq* DE 6-3 267 23 2 Clemson If he stays healthy I think he will be very good.
    97 Lewis, Marquavius DE 6-3 270 24 R South Carolina
    96 Metz, Jake DE 6-7 265 26 1 Shippensburg
91 Seau, Ian DE 6-2 250 24 1 Nevada He doesn't even play and gets hurt.
54 Valles, Max DE 6-4 250 23 2 Virginia There appears to be a passive aggressive approach to trying to motivate him through the team's website. Came in as second string, getting rotation on first string. Now third string where they talk about another guy's motor.
75 Yarbrough, Eddie DE 6-3 259 24 1 Wyoming This is the aforementioned other guy.
    98 Coleman, Deandre DT 6-5 341 26 2 California
99 Dareus, Marcell* DT 6-3 331 27 7 Alabama Too much invested to cut him now. Might trade him next spring.
92 Washington, Adolphus DT 6-4 295 23 2 Ohio State Will cost them the locker room to cut him now, but since he stinks they will be able to do it after final cuts.
    95 Williams, Kyle* DT 6-1 303 34 12 LSU River.
    93 Williams, Nigel DT 6-2 297 R Virginia Tech
    94 Worthy, Jerel DT 6-2 300 27 4 Michigan State
42 DiMarco, Patrick* FB 6-1 237 28 6 South Carolina Invested too much to cut him. The WR room will feel this.
    35 Tolbert, Mike FB 5-9 250 31 10 Coastal Carolina Still good.
    71 Barton, Karim G 6-3 313 25 1 Morgan State
62 Ducasse, Vladimir G 6-5 329 29 8 Massachusetts The fact he is pushing John Miller is an indictment of John Miller.
72 Groy, Ryan G 6-5 320 26 4 Wisconsin He will replace Wood next year.
    64 Incognito, Richie* G 6-4 322 34 11 Nebraska
    76 Miller, John* G 6-3 315 23 3 Louisville
    63 Pyke, Greg G 6-6 325 24 R Georgia
    68 Voytek, Zach G 6-5 305 R New Haven
4 Hauschka, Stephen K 6-4 210 32 10 North Carolina State Not even pretending to have a competition.
    57 Alexander, Lorenzo* LB 6-1 245 34 11 California See Kyle Williams
    49 Barrington, Sam LB 6-1 240 26 5 South Florida
    53 Bradford, Carl LB 6-1 248 24 3 Arizona State
    52 Brown, Preston* LB 6-1 251 24 4 Louisville
    51 Hodges, Gerald LB 6-2 236 26 5 Penn State
    50 Humber, Ramon* LB 5-11 232 29 9 North Dakota State
    48 Lindsey, Jacob LB 6-2 220 1 Harvard
    46 Logan, Abner LB 6-2 235 24 R Albany
    58 Milano, Matt LB 6-02 223 23 R Boston College
59 Ragland, Reggie LB 6-2 252 23 2 Alabama They will dump him next spring. He isn't good enough agaionst the pass and this coaching staff requires that to be otherwise.
    40 Vallejo, Tanner LB 6-1 228 R Boise State
69 Ferguson, Reid LS 6-2 244 23 1 LSU I have no idea why Garrison Sanborn isn't here. You don't need to pay your LS first contract league minimum to be competitive. They really can single-handedly lose you games.
73 Dawkins, Dion* OL 6-4 314 23 R Temple They really want him to start. I think he will not be good at it. Also, he is already gettin ghurt.
    61 Mudge, Jordan OL 6-4 300 28 1 Nevada
    60 Jefferson, Cameron OT 6-5 317 25 1 Arkansas
    3 Rehkow, Austin P 6-3 213 22 R Idaho
6 Schmidt, Colton P 5-11 224 26 4 California-Davis They are both having good camps, but Schmidt is a bad holder.
2 Peterman, Nathan QB 6-2 225 23 R Pittsburgh They aren't even pretending to have any competition here. I don't mind. He is getting extra practice.
    5 Taylor, Tyrod* QB 6-1 215 28 7 Virginia Tech
9 Yates, T.J. QB 6-4 217 30 9 North Carolina I think Kapaernick has grown up a lot and I would like to see him in this spot.
    22 Banyard, Joe RB 5-10 221 28 5 Texas-El Paso Guessing.
    39 Johnson, Jordan RB 6-1 220 R Buffalo
    7 Jones, Taiwan RB 6-0 195 29 6 Eastern Washington
    25 McCoy, LeSean* RB 5-11 210 29 9 Pittsburgh

31 Williams, Jonathan RB 6-0 223 23 2 Arkansas He is not good at all. He will make the final roster but get replaced by November.
    36 Elston, Trae S 6-0 190 23 1 Mississippi
    37 Gary, Shamiel S 6-0 217 27 3 Oklahoma State

    80 Saxton, Wes TE 6-4 235 23 1 South Alabama
82 Thomas, Logan TE 6-6 250 26 3 Virginia Tech He will be the starter next year. He will also leapfrog O'Leary by October.
    81 Boldin, Anquan* WR 6-1 220 36 14 Florida State Thank gods.
10 Brown, Philly WR 5-11 190 25 4 Ohio State Not only injury prone, but way too many drops.

    # NAME POS. HT. WT. AGE EXP. COLLEGE
33 Anderson, Colt S 5-10 195 31 8 Montana Makes it if healthy but I don't think he will be, so I stuck Joe Powell in here. Thus, 54.

I have only 4 WRs. If a fifth makes it it is Philly Brown. If he does, then one of the extra DBs doesn't. I am getting a strong FB/TE vibe, so lean towards the 4 skinnies.

OK, so I was not bullish enough. Jordan Matthews and EJ Gaines in, Sammy Watkins and Ronald Darby out. Yay. Finally. A couple of "bold moves" with which I agree. Good on ya, Beaner.

    Swift analysis of trades:

    1. I think of them as a single trade since they happened on the same AND involved 4 players at 2 positions.
    2. The final tally:

Buffalo trades a 2018 6th round pick, Sammy Watkins, and Ronald Darby for Jordan Matthews, EJ Gaines, and 2018 2nd and 3rd round picks. Buffalo definitely wins on the picks. Watkins is a little more potentially explosive than Matthews, but after three years hasn't done much more with it. Leaving aside the fact I thought they should have waited for Matthews in the second round of that draft, I think this is an even swap given Matthews' ability to stay on the field. Gaines for Darby is an even swap as near as I can tell. Yay! Buffalo didn't get rooked!

Also, given his hideously penalized performance against Minmesota, I think Trae Elston is done

And with Watkins gone I think they want Philly Brown more than I originally imagined, so he is in with Shamiel Gary out.

Also, if they don't make the playoffs this year and there isn't an Andrew Luck in next year's draft, Nathan Peterman is the 2018 starter at QB.
