Bengals LS Clark Harris has been named to the Pro Bowl, the NFL announced today. It is the first selection of Harris’ nine-year NFL career, and he becomes the first-ever Bengals long snapper to earn a Pro Bowl nod.

Harris was chosen by Pittsburgh Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin as a “need” player for the Pro Bowl roster (Tomlin’s staff will coach in the NFL’s annual All-Star game). The NFL stipulates that the head coach of each team chooses a “need” player, and those players must be long snappers.

The addition of Harris gives the Bengals three Pro Bowl selections for the 2017 season. DT Geno Atkins and WR A.J. Green were selected to the initial roster, however Green will not play due to an injury.

Harris finished 2017 with four special teams tackles, and he handled all 143 deep snaps (89 punts, 54 placekicks) without an unplayable delivery.

This season’s Pro Bowl will be played on Sun., Jan. 28, televised on ESPN at 3 p.m. from Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Fla.

So on Friday Clark Harris decided to set the Guinness World Record for the longest snap. Apparently that’s a thing. It was 33yds, he cleared 36yds.

I'll watch the NFLPA and E/W Shrine bowls, and I'll even watch Senior Bowl practices, but I'm not watching the Pro bowl skills competition unless off the field activities and categories are added.

didn't really watched the game. Only tuned in at the beginning to check on Geno, and he wasn't even trying. Went back to watching Cool Runnings.
