Prayers for my guy @tylereifert Man that has continued to show what resilience, determination, and toughness look like through his injuries. Such a great attitude about it each time! No doubt he will attack this the same. #respect

    1. Bengals 37 Falcons 36

Andy Dalton connected with A.J. Green for a sliding 13-yard catch in the corner of the endzone for the TD with :07 left in the game,
capping a 16 play, 75 yards, 4:08 drive to stun the Falcons 37-36 at Mercedes Benz Stadium

Down by five with 4:15 remaining the Bengals moved into Falcons territory at the 38-yard line at the 2-minute warning. Tyler Boyd
delivered a clutch 4th and 8 catch of 11 yards. Then, facing 4th and 6 from the 20-yard line with :22 left, Dalton found Boyd again at
    the 12-yard line with :14.

The Bengals, who scored just nine points in the second half, move to 3-1 on the season.

The Bengals led 28-24 at the break in a first half that saw both teams roll up and down the field with little to no resistance from the
defenses. The teams combining for 31 first downs, 526 yards, 52 points and 11 of 12 on 3rd down, scoring seven first half
touchdowns on eight possessions. The Bengals averaged 9.9 yards per play in the first half.

The Vegas total was 53...….for the game...not the half.

Dalton was 14 of 16 for 211 yards and 2 TD's in the first half, a 15-yarder to Tyler Eifert and a 39-yarder to John Ross. Dalton ended
the half completing 12 straight passes. He had three targets to each of five guys in the first half, plus one to Ross.

Momentum flipped quickly in the 3rd quarter. Tyler Eifert was carted off after a gruesome ankle/leg injury on the opening drive of the
second half. His foot appeared to get caught under him on a screen pass. Dalton was sacked on the next play and the Bengals went
three and out. Kevin Huber's punt was blocked. and the Falcons took over at the Bengals nine-yard line. But Carlos Dunlap came up
with a big sack and the Bengals held the Falcons to a 24-yard FG to cut the Bengals lead to 28-27 with 11:22 left in the 3rd quarter.

Both defenses seemed to settle into the game by the third quarter. Trading multiple and outs.

The Bengals got a break on a 3rd down personal foul vs the Falcons on an incompletion to Walton with 1:50 left in the quarter. But on
the very next play a Dalton pass deflected off Tyler Kroft's shoulder pads and was picked off near midfield. Carl Lawson came up
with his first sack and forced a fumble. But the ball was recovered by the Falcons and Lawson was called for a personal foul against
QB Matt Ryan. The Falcons took their first lead of the day when rookie Calvin Ridley turned Dre Kirkpatrick inside out for a TD
catch, his second of the day…..33-28 with 14:25 left in the game. The Falcons failed on the two-point attempt.

Alex Erickson's 47-yard kickoff return gave the Bengals good field position following Atlanta's go-ahead score. Dalton's 11-yard TD
pass to Green was wiped out by Bobby Hart's hands to the face penalty. Hart then allowed a 3rd down sack. Randy Bullock's 35-yard
field game cut the Falcons lead to 33-31 with 8:26 left in the game.

But the Bengals defense struggled to get stops....again.....on 3rd and 15 on a check down to the TE and then 3rd and 7 to Julio Jones.
Lawson got a 2nd down sack with 4:30 left. The defense did hold on 3rd and 19 and Tony McRae blocked a field goal. But offsides.
The second chance kick by Matt Bryant was good, with McRae offsides again......36-33 Falcons with 4:15 left.

The Bengals allowed 11 of 15 third down conversions on the day.

    -----

The Falcons made it look easy on the opening drive of the game, returning the kickoff 53 yards to midfield and then marching on an
easy 8 play, 50 yard TD drive, 24 yards passing, 26 yards rushing…7-0 Falcons.

The Bengals entered the game ranked 32nd (last) in the NFL on 3rd D defense. The Falcons converted their first three attempts and 8
of 9 in the first half.

The Bengals took the lead on a 10-yard bounce and run TD by Gio Bernard with :12 left in the opening quarter. 8 plays, 51 yards,
    3:29.

Mark Walton had a nifty catch, spin and run for 24-yards. He was later examined for a concussion, but returned.

The Bengals entered the game 101-20-2 when leading going to the 4th quarter.

    Goodberry

Gio Bernard in his two games leading the backfield with Mixon out

27 carries for 130 yards (4.8) and 3 rushing TDs
Plus 9 catches for 52 receiving yards

    Tyler Boyd's last 6 games

    47 targets, 36 receptions (76.6%), 489 yards (13.6), 3 TDs, 130.5 Rating

Over a full season, that would be 96 catches, 1,304 yards and 8 TDs.

I'm honestly not sure who wasn't injured or in some sort of pain on that final drive: John Ross couldn't go back in, Giovani Bernard couldn't go back in. Everyone on offense talked about how exhausted they were afterward.
