    Who is Walters interviewing with?

    Texans.

    Thanks.

If Walters gets the head coaching gig, we get draft pick compensation.

oh. yeah. haven't been paying close enough attention. I guess no draft pick comp for WR to OC promotion.

I think Callahan interviews in person in Indy today. If he gets that gig, guessing either Pitcher or Walters gets the Bengals OC spot, assuming they stay (Walters may get the OC in Houston). My money would be on Pitcher. Or, Callahan could try and take Pitcher with him.

On D, if Lou gets the AZ gig, not sure on that one. Bettcher was a DC in NY, and Duffner was here and in Jax, IIRC. I don't think the others on the staff have DC experience. Have heard good things about Burke and he did a good job with the CBs this year - have read that he's a future DC. And Hobby has been a good DL coach, too. I'd consider Vance Joseph if he were available.

Since they just gave Pitcher a significant raise to not interview elsewhere, he is clearly the OC in waiting for when Callahan leaves.

I understand and agree - but impression I got from something I read or heard (forget where) was that if Callahan stays and Pitcher gets a shot at an OC job somewhere, it was still a possibility - that he could at least interview.

It didn't make sense when I read or heard that... I would think that in giving him the raise, the agreement was that he'd stay on for this upcoming year, at least - either as QB coach or as OC, if Calahan leaves.

The impression I got from Zac is that yes Pitcher got a raise (and I agree he is OC in waiting) but that the raise does not prevent him from interviewing elsewhere.
