Thread: Turk's Week #13 Picks

  1. Turk's Week #13 Picks

Houston @ Philly *Phi - Best team, too much speed
Buffalo @ Minnesota *Min - Vikings run game will help set up Favre
New Orleans @ Cincinnati *NO - Saints are rising, Bengals are falling
Chicago @ Detroit *Chi - Bears 'D' over Lions 3rd QB
Cleveland @ Miami *Mia - Dolphin coaches found run game last week ... it worked ... stay the course
Denver @ Kansas City *KC - Chiefs add more misery to Broncos situation
San Francisco @ Green Bay *GB - Packers by double digits
Washington @ NY Giants *NYG - Giants win in another tight one
Jacksonville @ Tennessee *Ten - I said earlier that Tennessee would win the division, so they have to win
Oakland @ San Diego *SD - Chargers have an easy day
St Louis @ Arizona *StL - Sam Bradford keeps push for division title going
Dallas @ Indy *Dal - Cowboys must block Freeney & Mathis if they're to win
Carolina @ Seattle *Sea - It wouldn't surprise me if the Panthers pulled an upset, Seattle can look really bad
Atlanta @ Tampa Bay *Atl - Josh Freeman hasn't been able to overcome the really good teams, same this week
Pittsburgh @ Baltimore *Bal - With Ben hobbled, I'll take the Ravens at home
NY Jets @ New England *NE - Pats 5-0 at home, Jets 5-0 on the road ... Great matchup! Home wins

    Previous Week Results Wins - 10 Losses - 6

    Season Results Wins - 105 Losses - 71 (60%)

I completely agree with every one of Turk's picks. Looks like you're going 7-9 this week Turk, sorry.

Nah. Too many WR's are hurt, leaving very little to set up. Of course, Buffalo hasn't covered a tight end since 1997, so they might have a weapon there.

Pittsburgh @ Baltimore *Bal - With Ben hobbled, I'll take the Ravens at home
Even without Blutarski limping, Baltimore wins by ten. Too many good receivers, and I doubt Dick LeBeau will see more than ten two-or-fewer-WR sets the rest of the year. At least there's little reason to think he should, given the apparently huge difference in performance from Martz-like formations (versus Lombardiesque stances) against them this year.

I am taking every pick of Turk's as my own, with one exception. Choosing JAX over TN, just to be different. I picked Dallas as my upset special, so I don't see how they are considered a favorite, Swami. (Have the lines changed since yesterday?)

    Last week: 14-2
    On the season: 46-26

And may I recommend a Jefferson Reserve instead?

    My turn:

    Houston vs Eagles: Eagles (W)
Buffalo @ Minnesota: Bills - they nearly beat the Ravens, should have beat the Steelers and played the Pats tough. They'll beat Grandpa Favre
    New Orleans @ Cincinnati: Saints
    Chicago @ Detroit: Bears
Cleveland @ Miami: Miami, only cause Jake is at QB. He and Mangini almost gave a game to Carolina rather then just keep running! I'd pick the Browns if McCoy was playing.
Denver @ Kansas City: KC keeps a one game lead on Rivers and the Chargers
San Francisco @ Green Bay: Packers kill another Coach. Sorry Sing.
    Washington @ NY Giants: Giants.
Jacksonville @ Tennessee: Jags win and TMQ blames Randy for the Titans losing on Tuesday.
    Oakland @ San Diego: Chargers
St Louis @ Arizona: Rams keep pressure on the Seahawks in the race to be a 7-9 playoff team
Dallas @ Indy: Peyton won't lose three in a row. Colts in a blowout
Carolina @ Seattle: Seattle wins this one.
    Atlanta @ Tampa Bay: Falcons
    Pittsburgh @ Baltimore: Ravens
NY Jets @ New England: Pats. At home, a must win, and no Leonard for the Jets. I'll take my team

    Last Week 11-5
    Season 95-62
"False Start everyone but the center." Gene Steretore. Pats vs Jets. 12/24/16.

I like Flacco, but he is no Tom Brady. And Cam Cameton is no Chan Gailey. Steelers by 3.
