I've looked at the schedule a dozen times, and this team needs to start strong as much as any other team in the league. As a young team they're going to need confidence early to get them going. But even more than that, they're going to need to go 6-1 / 5-2 before the bye to give themselves a little flexibility with The Colts, The Vikings, The Texans, and a lot of rough conference games to come. If they're a playoff team, they're gonna be able to manage 4-5 during the post-bye stretch, and with a good start, that should be enough to get them into the postseason!

Overly optimistic? Almost certainly. But what Eagles fan isn't in early July after happy hour?

Man, I'm excited for that one. I expect all the fans to boo, but hopefully at first they give him the appreciation he deserves and then they they should boo all they want.

Ooph. Is that weird that I'll be wearing my #5 jersey for that one while screaming "RIP HIS ************ HEAD OFF!!" at the TV?

Maybe they'll throw cans of Chunky Soup on the field...

I know it's important, I honestly do, but we're talking about practice. We're talking about practice man. We're not talking about the game, we're talking about practice."[/I]

Is Donovans Gramma busy that day? Maybe she can hang out with you?
“The year we beat Miami in the Super Bowl, ... do you know how many defensive linemen were in our rotation? Nine, and we used them all quite a bit. We just wore the Dolphins out.”
