So I was reading the article on freep about Lions have set themselves up for a better 3rd down %. As I was reading, as a Lions fan off course drinking some kool aid, I starting thinking about their potential weapons on offense; Calvin, Best, Pettigrew, Scheffler, and then hopefully Burleson and Kevin Smith. I thought with solid TEs and Best on top of Calvin things could get a bit exciting.

I had a small vision: Picture this all Lions fans, First play of the season playing against Chicago the Lions offense walks onto the field. Of course, Matthew under center, Calvin split wide right, Kevin Smith in the back field. Then a two TE set with Jahvid split wide left. Play action fake (that actually works!!!) Calvin goes deep as option #1 (he'll probably be doubled or tripled, but if not Calvin catches a bomb) and as option #2 Jahvid is coming underneath cross the field. Maybe we see a bomb or maybe we see a dump off, and since we have Jahvid Best that dump off could go a long way also!

That was my kool aid vision of the day. I'm back to normal now.

The plays that you didn't see on SportsCenter

NFL's career leader in negative yards. My favorite Lion ever. But he made me nuts sometimes.

Too bad he never suited up again. But I have to respect a guy who stands for what he believes and says. Unlike some old quarterback still around....
