You know, us little people not in the business would assume that someone going on National TV to give a speech would have a team of LA comedy writers working on it for a month.

When in reality, at dinner time the night before you are asking total strangers if they have any good ideas.

It's just not as we imagine it behind the curtain, is it?

You're right on- it's last minute all the time, even with a script the best guys come up with their own ideas and voice. But it is us little people that supply great ideas - like cab drivers and bartenders. There is no Oz behind the curtain, but that is what keeps it fun and real.

I love Al and wish him the best. However, some advice for you might include wash-and-wear clothing, as I expect more than a few rotten tomatoes will be thrown in the direction of Kraft and Jones.

There are two incredible sporting events that I have witnessed in my lifetime, and Al will always be associated with one of them. I cannot think of that event without thinking of Al.
