Jets 11-5
Pats 10-6
Dolphins 9-7
Bills 4-12
Dolphins 10-6 Hardworking team with a good coach...Brandon Marshall finally gives them a threat through the air...if his head is in the right place they could surprise and win the division
Pats 9-7 - season depends on Welker. If he's out, who can Brady throw to on 3rd down???
Jets 8-8 - Too much hype, second year QB, Braylon "Butterfingers" Edwards, Revis' head not there...just too much drama - AND THE HARD KNOCKS CURSE!!!!!
Bills - 4-12...if they're lucky...
This divison is defintely a three horse race, you have the old guard- the Patriots, the brash newby- the Jets and the workhorse- the Dolphins. It should come down to who can stay healthy and the way the ball bounces( hopefully toward the Dolphins). In the end 2 playoff teams with a 3rd just missing out is probable.
The big 3 in the AFC East are close enough that the two record based games are really going to be important. They all play each other twice, The NFC North and the AFC North and then a team from the AFC South and West based on record.
Patriots: Chargers and Colts
Jets: Texans and Broncos
Dolphins: Titans and Raiders
I see a 11-5, 10-6, 9-7 bunching with the order determined by injuries. The healthiest team will come out on top.
Yes, I played the injury card. The ultimate NFL prediction cop-out. I have no shame.
Point of fact: you have the league going 263-249 with no ties. If you are going to lay out an eight post division by division prediction, make the math work. Just sayin'.
Take it easy. And if it's easy, take it twice.
Erm... I think the math works? 32 teams * 16 games = 512 263+249 = 512
Or I might be missing something obvious and stupid. I haven't had beer yet so my brain is fuzzy.
*edit* After a couple beers I figured out the obvious part. Someone shoot me.
