Thread: Packer Forum; Making up for lost time.

Early reports indicate that Davon House is playing exceptionally well. Apparently he's a quick learner and has been making big plays in practice. I'm excited to see him develop. We don't need him right away, so he has the luxury of getting experience in dime situations and garbage time.

If House is as good as he looks like he might be, we've got a real good problem at CB. We'll be in nickel all the time. Randall Cobb is another one to watch. He has that Greg Jennings thing going. He's very young, but a real smart kid. He's devouring the playbook, and to play WR in this offense, you really have to know how to read the defense. Cobb studies like a QB, and is studying the entire offense. I figured he'd just be a kick returner while he learned, but he may find his way into the No.5 receiver spot. Imagine going five wides with this kid, he could be a rac yards phenom.

No, he had 4 dropped TD's ;last year, guess how many game we lsot....0. Not a single dropped TD hurt, they jsut annoyed the hell out of us.

Also that contract is a godsend for both player and team. This will be Drivers last year. Next year, Jones and Nelson battel for #2,and either he wins and get's a new contract at end of year 2, or is asking for trade bewtween 2 and 3. If Nelson or Cobb beat him out, then he's a number 3 receiver making about 3 million a year.

James Jones as the number 3 or 4 guy is better than most teams. If he was the number 1 or 2, I'd hate it.
