    49ers Free Agency Moves

So far the 49ers have let 1/3 of their starting defense leave in free agency. However, not all is lost! They let one old kicker go and replaced him with... another old kicker! They also resigned Alex Smith.

Pure genius. Cousin Baalke continues to show why he was Mike Singletary's right hand man.

Andrew Luck, we have a table ready for you at 4949 Centennial Lane.

Harbaugh knows just how good Luck is. This really could be a terrible season for the 49ers but it would be worth it if they set up their future by getting Luck number one next year. It begs the question: is it better to be average, or to bottom out and get the stud player that will really help turn your team into a contender.

It's going to be hard for the 49ers to beat out the Panthers for the top pick. The NFC West isn't exactly a juggernaut. The NFC South trio of the Falcons, Saints and Bucs are going to destroy Carolina.

theres too much talent on defense and with the running game to bottom out. also, harbaugh is way too good of a coach. the fate of the faithful rests in one mans hands...colin kaepernick.

OR, you hope whoever has that #1 next year already has a QB and is open to trade. then you throw the entire draft at them with 1-2 good players...hell id include willis/davis/aldon/gore/half the OL to get a stud QB. you arent guaranteed to win with one, but youre guaranteed to lose without one
