Arthur Moats, who has been a DE/OLB all his career, except training camp last year, and the only dude other than Kyle who put any consistent pressure on QB's last year is being shifted to ILB this year. The position from which HE COULDN'T GET ON THE ACTIVE ROSTER LAST YEAR!!! Wow. We sure are smart.

It's tough, sometimes, too be positive. Seriously, Moats couldn't make a play in preseason at ILB. On the field with third unit against third unit, he was ALWAYS the guy named as having missed the tackle or the assignment when another team's soon-to-be-cut RB,, TE, or WR made a big play. Why move him back there? He was the team's best outside rusher last year. Even if Fantasyland wins out and Merriman makes it past week 3, why on earth would you reduce the number of pass rushers available to you? While he isn't a great pass rusher, he is our best, based on 2010 performance. Also based on 2010 performance, he would not have made the practice squad at ILB. What the hell are we doing? One step up, four steps back.

When the lockout started, the Bills were among the first teams to layoff office staff before refusinfg to pay into their coaches' pension funds. Do you think the whole organization went into some sort of suspended animation? (Not asked in fun.)

Did they think the lockout was going to last all season? Is that why it seems as if they made no plans whatsoever for what they should do to improve the team once the lockout ended?
