He's got a sprained knee. I was worried about Rodgers when he went down, but it seems like Marshall Newhouse held his own even when Peppers was lined up on him. Should Bulaga rush back?

No sacks, but the 2 picks came after Bulaga was out, which probably means Rodgers was slightly jumpy or rushing himself.

I think he should rest and sit out, at least for this week. We have Denver at home. While I don't like to under-estimate a team, I think we should be ok to let Newhouse take the snaps and let Bulaga rest and heal.

Iwatt, it was only one INT. I think that INT was more craftiness of Urlacher than anything. Rodgers saw Urlacher showing blitz, figured he was coming. He saw one on one coverage and Went for it without looking to see where Urlacher was. He was waiting for Rodgers to throw it right there. Beautiful play by the Bears. Rodgers needs to be smarter than that. Urlacher gets Rodgers like that a lot. That was definitely mental.

True, it was one pick, but also a fumble near the sidelines.
On the Rich Eisen show last week, Rodgers commented about how he truly loves playing against Urlacher, because of how good he really is. There's definitely a bit of mutual respect between those two. As a fan of the Packers, I would have LOVED to have Urlacher on our team.

No doubt about Urlacher's craftiness. I just think that knowing that your start RT is out might make your internal clock run just a little faster.
Personally, Id rest him because it's Denver, and even if they do have a good pass rush (specially if Dummervil returns), it is at home, and your running game this year is much improved. And Newhouse would be a starter on our team.

Yeah you're right about that internal clock. Heck, you could be right, maybe Rodgers didn't double check to see where Urlacher was because of that internal clock ticking faster. It looks like Bulaga is going to sit. I'm happy about that. Always smart to rest your guys and not rush them back.

Good to see Bulaga return to practice today. Hopefully he's all healed up and he's ready to go Sunday. Marshall Newhouse played well Sunday again and I think he's going to be able to hold down the LT spot while Bulaga plays RT. I can see Bulaga playing LT too, but I think they'll stick with Newhouse there.
